Welcome to season one, episode four of Recovery Podcast!
Strap in feminists, this week we're getting on our equally high horses to talk about what the fudge-nuggets has happened post Victorian State Elections, a little history of women's voting rights, and we're joined by fellow feminist and fearless woman, Trudi Pavlovky to ask the most important questions every feminist should be asked:
Stay tuned for some rad feminist jokes that are bound to have you groaning and giggling - tweet us your favorite jokes @RecoveryPod!
Welcome back, Feminists and Survivors!
Today's episode is chock-a-block with Feminist News where we are soooo not surprised by yet another NRL sports star biting ladies an their genitals and the death of Sex and the City 3 - as well as an amazingly delicious interview with Extractor of Awesome Resume Writer and Mentor to Survivors, Rene Lacey on dismantling the shame and guilt around what constitutes a "normal" reaction to extreme trauma, the impact of trauma on your physical health and wellbeing, and her personal moment of going from victim, to victor!
You'll also be introduced to my biz buddy and fellow feminist, Verity Mansfield while she patiently lets me bang on about a hot new theory I have that just might change the world and solve almost all our problems.
Remember to commit an act of resistance or guerrilla warfare - stand up for you, or someone else - advocate, donate, take action!

Hey there Feminist,
Welcome to Recovery Podcast - the show where we dissect the patriarchy and commit acts of guerrilla warfare to #resist! but in all realness, we're here to talk about gender equality, equality overall, and dismantling the powers that be and replacing them with the much-dreaded Matriarchy.
Jokes, sort of.
Today we're talking about the joy of unacknowledged, unappreciated, unpaid domestic labor and the extra demands placed on women at Christmas - followed by a dive into solving the most important problem ever: women bleeding blue stuff on pads and tampons.
Tune in for Feminist News, Cool Feminist Things, and guerrilla war tactic briefings.

Welcome to the official first episode of Season One of Recovery!
After a break, we've remodelled this podcast to cover more lady-centric things including a Feminist News segment, and Cool Feminist Things.
Today's episode features Lisa, a courageous Melbourne woman who was sexually assaulted by a man she met via an online dating service. This episode covers explicit content, descriptions of injuries and her experiences with the medical and judicial system as an adult survivor of rape. It also covers Lisa's story of recovery and the incredible resilience and courage she has to rebuild her life.

Have you ever seen a Coach or Spiritual Practitioner tell you that you just don't want to heal badly enough, that you have a victim mindset, or you planned it all before you were born and it's all to do with your past lives and soul contracts?
This episode calls BULLSHIT on those.
It's a rant, and a serious frustration and form of victim blaming that just aren't ok.

All too often, survivors are so impacted by their experiences they are unable to work at all, or their capacity to earn a comfortable income is severely compromised.
The fortunate ones are left out of pocket for courses and therapies they undertake to recovery - Life Coaching courses at $5k a pop, retreats, Yoga classes, psychotherapy just to name a few.
Yet more are left in precarious and vulnerable situations with little to no support or help to rebuild their lives.
But what if it doesn't have to be that way? what if there was a way to powerfully change the trajectory or your life?
