Jayce and Alex sit down with their former pastor, Father Jim Goins. Father Goins is currently pastor of Saint Eugene Catholic Church in Oklahoma City.

Have you ever found yourself reminiscing over college hijinks, then moments later pondering the profound life lessons they taught you? That’s exactly the adventure we embark upon with Father Jim Goins, whose stories golf courses, puppies and pulpit pranks lead into pondering the questions: what role does vision play in leadership? Do you have to be a visionary to be a leader? How do you know if your vision is something even worth pursuing?

Listen for all that, and more!

Ever wondered how the subtleties of leadership can weave their way through the fibers of a marriage, or how the art of healing can reinforce the bonds we hold dear? Together, we tackle the nuances of communication—sharing a laugh over the wedding text that went astray—and delve into the potency of personal connection in fortifying relationships and fostering mutual understanding. Acknowledging the seven core desires within us all, we confront the shadows cast by our past wounds and the barriers they erect on our journey to wholeness.

Father John Riccardo, from ACTS XXIX, joined Jayce and James ahead of the first Discipleship Conference in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. Father Riccardo explained how he presents the Gospel and more.

Father John Riccardo's passionate faith  culminated in the founding of Acts XXIX, a transformative ministry that seeks to rekindle the fervor for the Lordship of Jesus and resist the creeping worldliness in the church.

In today's episode, Jayce and James explore Father Ricardo's discernment process and spiritual journey that led to the creation of Acts XXIX and The Rescue Project. This journey, steeped in obedience, has turned into a beacon of hope for many. The Rescue Project, an innovative video experience, has been instrumental in spreading the Gospel. We also delve into the fundamental role of The Rescue Project in the modern-day proclamation of the Gospel.

Their discussion takes an interesting turn as they look at four essential questions that Father Ricardo uses in his teachings. These questions encourage a deeper understanding of our reality and the state of the world from a biblical perspective. The group also explores the power of the Gospel, the concept of rescue, and the role of a  missionary.

Day 9, the final day, of the Saint Martha Novena. Join us in praying the Saint Martha Novena leading up to the Memorial of Saints Martha, Mary and Lazarus.

In previous episodes of the podcast, the idea of being a "recovering Martha" has come up again and again. "Martha" embodying the idea that we have to strive to earn the love of God through our accomplishments as Martha worked while Mary sat at the feet of Jesus.

In the first day of this novena, we seek solace under Saint Martha's intercession. Just as she welcomed Jesus into her home, we too strive to open our hearts to his divine presence.
