In this sermon we finish up our mini series on “Rooting Out Worldliness”, though the Word of God often says hard things, we trust it is for our sanctification and our eternal joy in Christ!

In this sermon we look at the second cure to the problem of worldliness which is “resist the devil and he will flee from you”. James gives clear commands to Christians and also a wonderful promise which is rooted in the faithfulness of God Himself.

We continue in our study through James 4, looking at the problem of worldliness and the cure found in the grace of God and through coming to Him in humility and repentance. Though sin is a relentless evil, we praise God that He has given it’s cure in the Lord Jesus Christ.
