Most people assume humans are basically good.
But Scripture tells a very different story.
In this episode of the Redeeming Truth Podcast, our pastors respond to surprising findings from the Ligonier / Lifeway State of Theology survey, which revealed that many self-identified evangelicals hold views about sin that contradict the Bible.
Walking through passages such as Psalm 51, Romans 5, James 2, and Ephesians 2, they explain why a low view of sin ultimately comes from a low view of God's holiness—and why misunderstanding sin leads to misunderstanding the gospel.
When we see sin as the Bible describes it, the grace of Christ becomes far more glorious.

Is truth objective—or just personal preference?
In this episode of Redeeming Truth, our pastors address the growing rejection of biblical truth within modern evangelicalism.
Using Scripture and data from The State of Theology survey, they explain what truth is, why it matters, and how abandoning God's Word leads to doctrinal drift, cultural confusion, and dying churches.
This conversation calls believers back to Jesus Christ—the Truth—and reminds the church of its God-given responsibility to know, uphold, and proclaim the truth with courage, love, and conviction.

Only 60% of evangelicals say the Bible is their highest authority. That statistic should stop every Christian in their tracks.
In this episode of the Redeeming Truth Podcast, our pastors wrestle with a sobering question raised by the State of Theology survey: If the Bible isn't the highest authority for what you believe… what is?
Culture? Personal feelings? Popular voices? Your own heart?
This conversation exposes why this question isn't academic — it's eternal.
The pastors discuss:
This episode isn't about attacking others. It's about self-examination.
Because whatever you place above Scripture will not stand when you stand before God.
👉 Listen carefully. 👉 Ask honestly. 👉 And be prepared to answer the question you can't avoid forever.
