Daisy Dunn is an award-winning classicist and author whose seven books include Not Far from Brideshead: Oxford between the Wars, and In The Shadow of Vesuvius: A Life of Pliny. Her latest is The Missing Thread: A New History of the Ancient World through the Women Who Shaped It, which looks to reinterpret our understanding ancient history by highlighting the role of influential women who were just as vital and relevant figures in the narrative as their male counterparts. Joining Dunn in conversation for this episode is Peter Stothard, the author specialising in ancient history and former editor of the Times newspaper. His most recent book is Palatine: An Alternative History of the Caesars.
