The Washington Commanders once again lose another close one to the Philadelphia Eagles 38-31. The defense couldn’t stop anyone. Is it finally time for some coaching changes?
Why does this team, with 6 first rounders, continue to give up 30+ points? When do we start seeing some accountability? The Eagles could not be stopped unless they stopped themselves. If not for fumbling twice inside the 10 yard line, they could have scored 50+ points. AJ Brown once again dominated and Jalen Hurts could stand back and do whatever he wanted.
However, on offense the game plan changed. Instead of so many deep drop backs, the offense was focused on throwing quick slants, outs and screens. Sam Howell was super impressive save for the 2 turnovers deep in his own end. But you can’t say he wasn’t great the rest of the game. Jahan Dotson was impressive and bounced back from a rough couple of weeks. However, Terry had a couple of uncharacteristic drops to stymie the offense when they needed it the most.
In the end, it was more of the same. With a Tuesday trade deadline fast approaching, it will be an interesting week in Washington.

To trade or not to trade, that is the question. Ref the District thinks it has the answers on how Washington's front office should handle this year's trade deadline.
The Washington Commanders are 3-4. After losing 2 of your last 3 to two of the worst teams in football, you start looking at tanking, or trades, or firing coaches. Rumors have started swirling about Chase Young and Montez Sweat. Will either of them be traded? Maybe one or both will get a contract extension.
We also take a look at the snap counts against the New York Giants. There were some curious numbers with Chris Rodriguez, Casey Toohill, Quan Martin & Emmanuel Forbes.
Lastly we talk to PFF analyst Nick Akridge. How does PFF come up with their grades? What kind of information do they have? Should we look deeper into the numbers? Is Sam Howell fixable?
All of that and so much more on your 24 October Daily Commanders Update. Let’s goooooooo!
There wasn’t a lot of positives from a game in which Washington should have dominated. Chase Young was good. Terry McLaurin was good. Maybe even Kam Curl was good. But did anyone stand out?
The list of people who belong on the bad list is pretty long. From the top, Ron Rivera and Eric Bieniemy down to long snapper Cameron Cheeseman, not much went right for the Commanders.
We break it down fully and see what this team has in store for the rest of the season.
All of this and much more on Day After Reckoning!
