Atlanta is coming off a come from behind win at home against the Houston Texans. Quarterback Desmond Ridder had his best game as a pro passing for over 300 yards. He's also never lost a home game in college or the NFL. The game features a battle of the BRob's. Washington's 2nd year running back Brian and Atlanta's rookie sensation Bijan. Who will get the best of who? So much more in this game preview. Let’s gooooooo!

First we look at the injuries and how that will affect the team on Sunday.  Another defensive back, Christian Holmes is going to be out with a hamstring injury.  DL Efe Obada is questionable but looks to be trending in the right direction.

Terry McLaurin is down the list of every WR statistical category.  Why is that?  Why is OC Eric Bieniemy not targeting him more often?  Maybe he is but Sam is not looking his way.  Hopefully this is the game against Atlanta that will change that.

Nick Akridge put together a great article on PFF.com talking about why the Commanders defense is struggling.  It’s a great read.

All of that and so much more on today’s Daily Commanders Update.  Let’s goooooooo!

DC Jack Del Rio got on the mic and said he likes how well Cody Barton prepares.  The problem is Cody Barton is a smart linebacker but he’s not physically talented.  However, there’s nobody who is going to come in and help at the position.

OC Eric Bieniemy said that he’d like to get Brian Robinson more involved early in games but because they’re in a whole he has to rely more on the passing game. Do the numbers support that?  Stoner takes a deeper look.

And there’s some controversy over Ron’s new sign above the locker room.  It says, “DO YOUR JOB”.  We dive into both sides of the debate.

All of that and more on your Daily Commanders Update for 12 October.  Let’s goooooooo!

Jeremy Reaves has partially torn his ACL. Will this be the last time we see him in Burgundy and Gold? Sam Cosmi and Chase Young are tops in the league for their position. PFF grades for the Washington Commanders and Stoner's Power Rankings! All this and more on your Daily Commanders Update for 10 October.

Nathan and Stoner talked about how the team is loaded with professional leaders who have a ton of respect for Ron Rivera and would be embarrassed if Ron was fired midseason.

Special teams All Pro Safety Jeremy Reaves and 3rd year Safety Darrick Forrest are both headed to IR.  The team is still evaluating their injuries and will determine the length of time for either of them at a later time.

So who will take their place?  The Commanders made a couple of roster moves and expect to see a few more through the week.

Jon Allen is now the franchise leader in sacks as a Defensive Tackle but Allen did not want to talk about it amidst the loss to Chicago.

All of that and much more on your 9 October Daily Commanders Update.  Let’s gooooooo!

Justin Fields threw 3 touchdowns to DJ Moore and 1 to Cole Kmet as he had one of his best days passing as a pro in Chicago’s victory.  But how did he do it?  What defense was Washington running?  Were they all luck?  Was it bad defense from Washington who has 6 first round draft picks on defense?

We break it all down in this special edition film session on Ref The District.

Where is the accountability?  Why does it seem like the same problems exist even in the 4th year of this team?  Why is the defense so bad with 6 first round picks?

What was the turning point in the game?  Was it the very first series in which Brian Robinson and the offense couldn’t get a first down on 3rd and inches?  Was it Sam Howell’s interception late in the first half?  Was it Logan Thomas’ fumble in the 3rd quarter?  Or was it Joey Slye missing a 46 yard field goal late in the 4th quarter.

We talk about our Go-Go’s and No-Go’s and give our final thoughts before turning our attention to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 of the NFL season.
