OSF Saint Luke Medical Center is always innovating and looking for better ways to serve patients. As part of that mission, they are opening the new OSF Saint Luke Medical Center Innovation Hub. The innovation Hub will collect ideas throughout the hospital via Mission Partners and seek new ideas that will help patients as well as increase efficiency. The innovation Hub will also have a strong educational component that focuses on medicine and STEM and will help educate kids about hospitals, health, and more via innovation. We talked with our friends from OSF Saint Luke Medical Center on te Monday edition of Wake Up Tri-Counties on WKEI.

The Kewanee Salvation Army has set a goal to raise more than $46,000 for people in need in our community this holiday season. Eddie Tolliver with the Kewanee Salvation Army joined WKEI on Monday morning, along with Amber Patch Troxell, to reveal this years fundraising goal and to invite folks to volunteer to ring bells for the Salvation Army to help get to that lofty fundraising goal. Meanwhile, Amber was on hand to announce the return of the Angel Tree for 2022. You can still sign up for your kids to receive gifts from the Angel Tree by contacting Amber or the Kewanee Salvation Army. The Angel Tree is going up at Wal Mart in Kewanee this week which means you can start grabbing Angels off of the tree on Black Friday and add a child in need to your Christmas Shopping this year.

November 29th is Ladies Night at Kewanee Care Home and Courtyard Communities in Kewanee. From 5 Pm to 8 Pm on November29th ladies are invited to come to Courtyard Village at 860 Sunset Drive and shop numerous vendors who will be on hand with a wide array of products for Christmas Presents, Birthday Presents, or just a little something for yourself. There is no cost to attend and if you are a vendor, there is still room for your table at Ladies Night. The Henry County Board met on Thursday, November 17th at the Henry County Courthouse. Henry County Administrator Erin Knackstedt and Henry County Board Chair Kippy Breeden joined WKEI on Friday morning on Wake Up Tri-Counties to wrap up the meeting and let everyone know that Henry County is hiring. There is currently a need for lawyers in the office of the State's Attorney in Henry County among other open positions in administration, in various departments and in the Henry County Jail. That plus a discussion of ongoing rehab and construction in the historic Henry Courthouse are part of our Wake Up Tri-Counties interview.
