George Luz JR was on the Breakfast Club on KNIM Country this morning. His Father George Luz Sr. was one of the soldiers in the actual Band of Brothers (Easy Company) of the 101st Airborne out of Fort Campbell KY. Holly and I were honored to have George in the studio to talk about his dad this morning 11-9-22.

With a by week and one victory in this years post season, coach Matt Webb discussed last weeks game and how he will approach for this weeks game with the Savannah Savages. The Hounds defeated Savannah in mid october and are hoping to do the same Friday 11-11-22

Medicaid Open Enrollment season is back and the Henry County Senior Center is here to help. if you are aged 65 or older, you can contact the Henry County Senior Center and they will help you navigate Open Enrollment to get the best medication prices available. There is no requirement to change providers and you can decide you don't want to change even after consulting with the Senior Center staff. There are no obligations. Cassandra Schmoll from the Henry County Senior Center spoke with WKEI to discuss open enrollment, along with the start of Chair Yoga at the Senior Center beginning Tuesday, November 15th, 2022. And, Christmas Cookie Kits are now available at the Henry County Senior Center. Cookies and the additional ingredients to make them Christmas Cookies will ready to be picked up in MId-December.

The documentary Bad Axe is nominated for several Critics Choice Documentary Awards. Director David Siev joined WKEI on Monday to talk about the documentary that follows his family, owners of a restaurant in Bad Axe, Michigan, during the pandemic, the George Floyd protests, the 2020 election and a struggling economy. David's father was a survivor of the killing fields of Cambodia and the documentary began life as a story about the American dream his father had achieved in surviving, coming to America, and life since them. The pandemic and politics changed everything and turned the Siev family into a remarkable microcosm of a tumultuous time in American history.
