Stephany Yout took time out of her busy day to talk with Don and Holly on the KNIM Breakfast Club. Stephani discussed the parade and the change of the rout, plus other great events in Maryville over the holidays.

A new documentary is bringing a lost yet influential music star back into the spotlight. In the early 1970s singer-songwriter Judee Sill overcame drug addiction, time in prison, and the absence of her family, to become a pop recording artist. Signed to David Geffen's influential record label, Sill was all set for stardom but it never fully arrived. Though her music was loved by a large core of fans and especially by fellow musicians, she never found chart success and fell into obscurity before dying tragically young in 1979. Documentarians Andy Brown and Brian Lindstrom found Judee's music and have spent the past decade working on bringing her legend back to life. They've done that with the new brilliant documentary Lost Angel: The Genius of Judee Sill. Brian and Andy spoke with Wake Up Tri-Counties about the documentary on Tuesday morning.

Kewanee City Councilman Steve Faber spoke with Wake Up Tri-Counties about Monday's Kewanee City Council Meeting. In the interview, Councilman Faber discussed the items on the agenda, each of which passed on a unanimous vote. Also at the meeting there was a discussion of Nelson Avenue in Kewanee and whether it should become a one way street, and Councilman Faber touted the upcoming budget meetings in the City and stated that he would push for more funding for street repairs in Kewanee. If you need a hot spot for any reason you can now go to the Kewanee Public Library and take out a hot spot to keep you connected in places where your internet connection may not be that strong. Sara Billiet from the Kewanee Public Library joined WKEI on Monday to talk about wi-fi hotspots, the special Thanksgiving Week hours at the Kewanee Public Library and plans for Story Time following Thanksgiving week.

OSF Saint Luke Medical Center Registered Dietitian Sara Umphleet, along with Samantha Rux, joined Wake Up Tri Counties on Monday, November 14th, to talk about food and diabetes and what you need to know about what your diet should look like after you've been diagnosed with Diabetes or if you are someone who has a high risk for developing Diabetes.
