Now, COVID-19 is not affected by the weather. Rather, it is affected by how weather causes us to change our lifestyle. Cold and snow keeps more people home and indoors and in enclosed spaces, COVID-19 thrives and can spread among a family if we are not careful.

The Kewanee Area United Way Annual Campaign is now up and running and Linda Blair, director of the Kewanee Area United Way joined WKEI on Monday on People to People to talk about this year's campaign and the challenges that the United Way is facing due to COVID-19 and restrictions on fundraising efforts. There is a Kewanee Area United Way fundraiser taking place this week as the United Way Jail & Bail will happen this Friday, October 23rd from 9 Am to 1 Pm. You can help to free our arrestees with a donation to the Jail and Bail fund via the Kewanee Area United Way website or by dropping off a donation at Regional Media studios on Friday at 101 West Central Boulevard.

RaeAnn also talked about the process of investigating claims that business are not adhering to mitigation rules and how a business can end up having its license suspended for non-compliance.
