  • pt. 1 - Love Is All You Need

    Got some sh!t to say?

There's nothing you can do that can't be done,
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.

    FIRST VERSE:

We are so excited to highlight this week's #GayRelationshipGoals, Scottie Gatarz (@stgatarz) and his amazing boyfriend, Randy Canché (@rc_ifbb).  Check them out on Instagram, and tell them the Critelli's sent you!

    CHORUS:

    "All you need is love
All you need is love, love, love is all you need"

A relationship can be so complex and incredibly challenging, but is love enough to make it last?  This week, the Critelli's dive into the intricacies of a relationship and try to figure out if love really is enough.

    SECOND VERSE:

Don't miss part two of the Critelli's interview with Mr. (@metroventure) himself, Michael Leedy!  Marko and Tony spend more time getting to know the man behind the music and find out what dating is like, at this stage of his life.

    BRIDGE:

Anger is a natural human emotion, but is often viewed as toxic, negative, and sometimes unattractive.  This week's Listener Shituation comes from a wife that emotes, and a partner that has had enough.  How should she handle this?

  • American Idiot

    Got some sh!t to say?

Don't wanna be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation under the new media.

    FIRST VERSE:

Check out this week's #GayRelationshipGoals, Al (@albertoprovedel) and his boyfriend, Tiago (@tiago.hss) for more relationship inspiration!  You can also check out their joint account (@boysvsplanetickets) for extras!

    CHORUS:

"Welcome to a new kind of tension
    All across the alien nation
Where everything isn't meant to be okay
    Television dreams of tomorrow"

This week, the Critelli's dive into the (second) worst topic to discuss: Politics.  How does the current political climate affect you and your queer existence and how do you survive the madness?

    SECOND VERSE:

Marko and Tony are joined by guest, Michael Leedy (@metroventure) and the guys talk about Michael's new path and his past life.

    BRIDGE:

A late-in-life gay man is having trouble with getting his (adult) children to welcome his boyfriend into the family.  Should this 62 year young man force his children to accept his new life?  Or, should he ignore children and live his life the way he wants to?

  • Simply the Best

    Got some sh!t to say?

    The Season One Finale.

    FIRST VERSE:

    <<< The Best #GayRelationshipGoals >>>

     - @buttonsandsnaps
    Andrew Wailes (@abwailes) & Cory Quach (@qcq101)

     - Clay Thomson (@claythomson) & Chris Rice (@chrisriceny)

     - @beeandjaychi
    Ben Raczka (@braczka83) & Jaizon Plaga (@jaizonplaga)

    CHORUS:

    You're simply the best,
    Better than all the rest.
    Better than anyone,
    Anyone I've ever met.

    <<< The Best Interviews >>>

     - Shawn Gooden (@shawn_gooden) / (@shawngooden_) & Shaila Tyler (@styl.er) / (@styl.ur)

     - Matthew & Paul Castle (@paulcastlestudio)

     - Chase Nelson (@singing_scientist)

    SECOND VERSE:

<<< The Best Listener Shituations >>>

     - A listener from down under writes in to the guys to talk about his experience of dating guys.  After dating women for so long, you'd think dating guys would be similar, right?  WRONG.  A series of dishonest partners leaves our listener wondering if it gets better.

     - Sass requested - how do you handle family that is outwardly homophobic to you and your boyfriend, when you are present?

    BRIDGE:

We  sincerely want to thank each and every one of you for your candor, your input, and your presence throughout this first season.  We started this endeavor asking the question, "what would it have been like if we heard more about the availability of our values when we were first struggling with what we would eventually learn was our sexuality?"  And now, from your support, your listens, your emails, your conversations, and your stories, we know: our community would become a place of wholesome but frank discussion; our minds would be filled with joy and honesty; our view of relationships would encompass our morality and our self-determination.  We are so thankful to each and every one of our listeners, for each and every time that you listened.  You have made our hearts smile and our aspirations come true.  You are what makes this show, and this world, the success that it is.  Over the episodes, we have invited you to learn who you are, to stand in your truth, not to let any person or organization deny you access to the divine, and to hear how many different ways there are of doing this thing we call life "right."  And the feedback that we have gotten has truly made me understand that we have accomplished this goal.  With every small piece of me that is, that contradicts itself, that vies for healing or to be heard... We want to thank you for making all of this possible.  We could not have done it without you.  We are forever grateful.

  • Back in the Day

    Got some sh!t to say?

Back in the days when I was young I'm not a kid anymore,
But some days I sit and wish I was a kid again.

    FIRST VERSE:

As if our hearts can handle another gay couple with child(ren), this week's #GayRelationshipGoals is none other than the ever so talented (@claybourneelder) and his incredible husband, (@ericbrosen).  Baby Bo's fathers are the dictionary definition of loving, caring, and hard-working.  As a Broadway actor, Claybourne, and director/writer/producer, Eric, make parenting look like such a pleasant and fulfilling adventure.  With such a love between the two of them, and an unwavering devotion to their family, these two are exactly the kind of fathers/husbands I think we all strive to be.  Follow them on Instagram and fall in love with the magic that is their relationship - and don't forget to tell them the Critelli's sent you!

    CHORUS:

"But, sometimes, I still sit and reminesce,
Then, think about the years I was raised, back in the days."

This week, the fellas sit down to to discuss the biggest (and most noticeable) differences in dating habits between millennials, baby boomers, and every generation between.  Are "kids" really jumping into the dating world with completely different dating habits than their parents and grandparents?  And if so, why?  Have these "kids" learned nothing from the same people that (essentially) created them?

    SECOND VERSE:

    Times change, but do people?
After talking with a few millennials (last episode), Marko and Tony thought it was only fair that they connect with a few baby boomers as well.  So, this week they sit down and talk with the (podcast) famous: Aunt Mary and Uncle Chuck!  Tony's Aunt and Uncle join the guys to talk about the beginning of their own relationship, what partnering means to (and has meant to) them, and how they view the dating and relationship habits of their kids and the younger generation.  How did they meet?  What does their future hold?  And, what does it mean to be married to someone for so long?? You won't want to miss this amazing interview with the couple that has inspired Marko and Tony to keep going - and, has given them a true view of their future, together.

    BRIDGE:

    I'm so bored, I could die ...
A married couple has nothing to talk about, and when they do, one partner is bored to tears.  What do you do when you've been with your partner for an extended period of time but the only thing they're capable of talking about is work and the weather??  Is that enough to sustain a relationship?

    Too soon?
Mental health is important, and our second Listener is full aware of his struggle.  But, when should he make a potential partner aware of it as we

  • P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)

    Got some sh!t to say?

Pretty young things, repeat after me:
    I said,
    "Na na na."

    FIRST VERSE:

This week's #GayRelationshipGoals takes us back to Florida with an "a-dorkable" couple: Brandon (@theincrediblemr.rice) and Steven (@sirstevenrice).  Celebrating their 1-year of marriage, Steven and Brandon show us that young gay love is still completely attainable - and incredibly fulfilling.  With a joy that emits through every IG image, this couple does more than inspire; they set the standard!  Follow their joint Instagram page (@mtandmrrice) and make sure you tell them the Critelli's sent you!

    CHORUS:

I want to love you (P-Y-T),
    Pretty young thing.
    You need some lovin' (T-L-C),
    Tender lovin' care.
And I'll take you there ...

... Back in the day (when dinosaurs roamed the Earth), relationships held different weight and had a completely different progression.  The term "dating" had a very specific meaning and gray areas didn't exist when it came to titles.  Millennials have adopted new terminology to describe their Facebook dating status, and the Critelli's are trying to get to the bottom of it!  Join them, as they discuss their relationship trajectory and figure out if they're getting old or if the younger generation is just more creative (or both).

    SECOND VERSE:

An anthropological dive into the dating patterns of the younger generation led the fellas to Marko's younger sister.  This week, 22-year old Stevee and her 24-year old boyfriend Stephen (seriously ... that's their names), sit down with Marko and Tony to shed some light on what "talking" is, better understand how/why it can take up to two years to move past "talking", and find out whether millennials talk about the future, and if so ... what do they say?  As if they couldn't feel older, this episode is a hop, skip, and jump to the nursing home for both Marko and Tony!

    BRIDGE:

    Don't be trippin' ...
A couple struggles to decide whether one major trip a year is better than several weekend getaways throughout the year.  What do you do when your partner would rather save all year and have an exotic trip to some remote location, and you'd rather spend the weekend(s) in nearby travel destinations instead?  Who is right and who is wrong?

Keeping it in the family ...
A Listener is not interested in dating and has prided themselves on their perpetually single status.  But what happens when your fellow queer step-sibling is looking like a whole snack, and you're hungry?  "Ick" factor aside, is it weird to be attracted to your step-brother?  And if not, then how do you tell him you want to be more than just family, without your parents regretting their own union?  These questions

  • Black or White

    Got some sh!t to say?

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby,
It don't matter if you're black or white.

    FIRST VERSE:

After a brief break, the guys are back to highlight yet another couple that inspires and captivates them.  Mike Giardino (@maxedmike) and RJ (@rashaanjames2) have been together for 4 years and their longevity is just one of the many things we love about them and why they are this week's #GayRelationshipGoals.  Whether they're fixtures at every gay event in the country or busy loving on one another and capturing those moment, these two have a connection that is undeniable.  The genuine love for one another and bouts of hilarity and unwavering respect for each other, makes them the couple to learn from!  Check out their joint IG page (@mikeandrj), or follow their individual pages for more content.  Check them out and let them know the Critelli's sent you!

    CHORUS:

    "It's black, it's white
It's tough for them to get by
    It's black, it's white."

Marko and Tony gather at the table this week to have a black and white conversation about interracial dating.  In the nine years the guys have been together, they've had their fair share of negative commentary (from those close to them and complete strangers) regarding their choice to date outside their race.  Luckily, the guys haven't let it affect them too much, but every once in a while, a person's opinion about interracial dating will make the guys question the state of society.  Join the Critelli's as they discuss their experiences with race and what it means for the future of their relationship.

    SECOND VERSE:

No good argument is complete without some facts (or wine), and the Critelli's bring just that! When was interracial marriage legalized?  How many couples are doing it today?  Why the hell does it matter to everyone else?  We may not have the answers to all the questions (especially the last one) but Marko and Tony try to make sense out of a (not very old) law that still affects our society in a very bizarre way.

    BRIDGE:

    Eenie, Meenie, Miney, (ho)Mo ...
While some are experiencing a dating famine, our first Listener is feasting!  What happens when you're dating three (equally) amazing guys and can't decide with whom to settle down?  Someone call Chuck Woolery, because we need to lock down this love connection!

    Mama can you hear me?
Our second Listener is in a bit of a pickle when it comes to his dating life: he's in love but unfortunately, his mother would rather swipe left.  What happens when your mother wants to vote your boyfriend off the island but he's done nothing egregious to land him in the bottom two?  Who should he pick?  These questions and more on this week's

    Got some sh!t to say?

Do you know what today is?
It's our anniversary, made for you and me?

The Critelli's are celebrating their second wedding anniversary with all of you Relationsh!t listeners!  Join Marko and Tony as they highlight this week's #GayRelationshipGoals (themselves), and talk about why their relationship is so important to them, individually.  Follow them on IG (@podrelationshit) and follow Marko (@mdotcot) for more behind-the-scenes Relationsh!t content.

The fellas sit down for the next two segments, and talk about their relationship beginnings and reminisce on their magical wedding weekend.  And later, in a special edition of Listener Shituations, the guys sit down with one another and ask each other a really important question, to better understand how far they've come, and where they're going.  Join us for this extra special episode of Relationsh!t and congratulations, Marko and Tony, for 2 years of marriage bliss!

  • #Selfie

    Got some sh!t to say?

    But first,
    Let me take a selfie.

    FIRST VERSE:

Serving LEWKS and giving wedding GLAMOOOOR, this week's #GayRelationshipGoals (@beauty_kdash) and (@riccardo_model) show us all what it means to have love (and FASHUN) in your life.  We are so excited to highlight this glorious couple and their recent wedding realness.  Their adventures together, their commitment to one another, and the fabulous pics of their time together, is an inspiration to us all!  Check them out on Instagram, and make sure to tell them the Critelli's sent you!

    CHORUS:

"Can you guys help me pick a filter?
I don't know if I should go with XX Pro or Valencia
    I wanna look tan
    What should my caption be?
I want it to be clever ..."

At a time when our entire existence is measured in "likes", follows, FaceTune, and filters, how are we supposed to know who we really are?  Gay culture (and society in general) has caused us all to cultivate an image that isn't true to who we really are - or, are we who we've always been and social media and the need to define ourselves exists because social media highlights it?  Marko and Tony gather around the microphone to talk more about culture and whether or not they buy into it.

    SECOND VERSE:

Blogger and Influencer, Nathaniel James (@thenathanielmanual) sits down with the Critelli's to talk more about the pressure to be perfect when you have a prominent social media presence and his recent decision to take a step back from it all.  What does it actually mean to be an Influencer?  And how is your mental health affected by all of this?  You won't want to miss out on this incredible conversation!

    BRIDGE:

Halloween is coming up, and one listener would like to know what couples Halloween costume was a favorite for the Critelli's.  Bert & Ernie?  Ketchup & Mustard?  Sonny & Cher?  You'll have to listen to the episode, to find out!

Are you a good gay, or a bad gay (why I'm not gay at all, I'm a lesbian!)  What happens when you and your partner are blissfully happy in your queer life but you look around one day and realize that you're not involved in the LGBT community at all?  Does that make you a an enemy of your own culture?  Check in with the fellas and hear more about their thoughts during this edition of Listener Shituations!
