Relax and Learn Norwegian: Summer Storm ASMR 🎧 ⛈️🇳🇴
Experience the soothing sounds of a summer thunderstorm on a Norwegian farm in this immersive ASMR episode. Join me as I describe the warm, humid ("lummert") weather that leads to the dramatic arrival of rain, thunder, and lightning. I'll open my balcony door so you can fully experience the sounds of the storm, along with some farm sounds like a tractor driving by.
I'll also be experimenting with integrating music into my podcast using a loop station. Let me know what you think of this unique auditory experience! 🎶

Episode Title: Reflections and Woolly Pigs – What I’ve Been Up to Lately
Episode Description:
In this episode, I share some reflections on the past few months and what's been happening in my life. I talk about the quiet life in the countryside, the feeling of being alone, and how I’ve been processing emotions like fear and joy. I also touch on new connections and learning to lean on someone other than Jonas.
On the lighter side, I dive into the chaos of farm life—unexpected piglets, runaway pigs, and how I’ve gotten more involved in farm chores than I ever expected. From building fences to blueberry picking, there’s never a dull moment!
What You’ll Hear:
Timestamps:
00:00 - Introduction and recent reflections
05:45 - Adjusting to life changes and new connections
12:10 - Life on the farm: runaway pigs and piglets
20:30 - Farm chores: building fences, chopping wood, and more
28:00 - Wrapping up: thoughts on balance and self-care
Enjoy the episode, and if you're tuning in from the countryside or the city, I hope my stories bring you some peace and a few smiles!

Summer's here, and I'm sharing slices of life in slow, relaxing Norwegian. Perfect for *language learning or unwinding*. I'll take you along on a campervan trip, recount a visit to a wind tunnel with my daughter, and share updates on my upcoming book project. Plus, I'll be reflecting on anxiety, the power of caffeine-free living, and the importance of self-care. #LearnNorwegian #SlowNorwegian #ASMR #SummerVibes #Norway #Podcast

Key Vocabulary & Phrases (For our Norwegian Learners):
"Knått" - These tiny biting insects are a common presence in Norway during the summer, especially in areas with lush vegetation. I'll share my encounter with them and how I managed to find a peaceful night's sleep despite their persistence.
"Rykk og napp" - This Norwegian phrase translates to "jerks and snatches" and describes something that happens intermittently or inconsistently. I'll use this phrase to describe my current podcasting schedule as I navigate the demands of life and creativity.
"Jevnt og trutt" - Meaning "evenly and steadily," this phrase contrasts "rykk og napp" and represents my aspiration for a more consistent podcasting routine.

If you have not watched Ren Gill in his performance of "Hi Ren" you're in for a treat! It is the most captivating song, or shall I say masterpiece, I have ever heard. I get the chills each time! I went from being not at all interested in reaction videos, to a "Hi Ren" reaction video junkie! I've watched a few! It is so satisfying to se other peoples jaw drop to the floor. IF YOU ARE A HUMEN, this will give you the chills! And perhaps tears, anger and joy. Connection is the feeling I get, and I love Ren and all the people reacting to his stuff, because you can watch the humanness of us all appear!
It's 2023. It's winter, and I am feeling good! I have a long talk with you before the counting, just because it's been a while, and I want to share with you the great news of my current emotional and mental state! :)

I know you feel like there is no hope! The feeling is temporary, even if it has been like this for a long time. There are so many examples of people who have lived wonderful lives surviving their own darkness and thoughts or even attempts at suicide.
People can be so clumsy when they talk about suicide. It is not stupid - you are not stupid for having the thoughts. You are definitely not a coward for wanting to quit. Is a normal reaction to inhuman amounts of emotional or physical pain and not yet seing another way out of the living hell you are experiencing. They don't understand. But let's not punish the world for their lack of understanding. Stay. Help people understand how they can be a support for you and others. You are strong - it's not always like this! Depression is temporary! Although it feels like it's forever - it is not!
We need you.
