With IT being a huge hit, Hollywood figured we were in a Stephen  King renaissance. Pet Sematary was decent. The Stand got another mini series event. Obviously Firestarter needed to be remade with a joint launch on Peacock and in theaters. The 1984 Firestater was not well received but could this remake with Zac Efron be the kindling for a new Firestarter franchise?

Mike is getting out of the country for about two weeks for work and play! Unfortunately that means no new Remake Rewind. Fret not! Here is one of our favorite episodes for you to enjoy again (or for the first time). We hope you enjoy this classic episode!

On our first topic episode we asked our listeners what movies should never be remade and then Alex and Mike each pitched there remake for the top three results. Listen to each pitch a remake for Back to the Future, The Princess Bride, The Godfather. Some of these pitches played it safe and some took some major swings. Listen and tell us which of our pitches you would want to see.

Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness is out next week! We figured now would be a good time to revisit the first appearance of Doctor Strange in the MCU and compare it to the little known CBS TV movie version from 1978..

It is time to take a stand! We refused to watch Morbius, because it looks terrible and Jared Leto is a bad bloke! TO celebrate not watching Morbius we decided to cover the king of vampires, Dracula!

Its time to cover one of the most influential Sci-Fi movies of all time. A movie that pave the way for Roland Emmerich. Without this movie we wouldn't have Independence Day, Mars Attacks, or modern disaster films. We watched the 1953 classic The War of the Worlds, and War of the Worlds, directed by Steven Spielberg.

It was only a few years ago that we did a Batman special because of Justice League but because Warner Bros. is a dumpster fire, we have yet another reboot of Batman! Auteur director Matt Reeves is taking a swing with controversial pick of star Robert Pattinson. Can Matt Reeves deliver on his promise of an on screen Batman that we have never seen before , one who is actually the world's greatest detective? We will find out as we compare 2022's The Batman with 1992's Batman Returns. Both films feature a fairly new Batman in Gotham, clashing with the Penguin and Catwoman.

2022 is going to be a huge year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They are still riding the Spider-man: No Way Home high and have new movies for Thor, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, plus new Disney+ shows! We also know we are going to start to see our first glimpse of the characters acquired in the Fox merger. We are going to discuss the incoming reboots of The X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Blade. We make some predictions and discuss what we would like to see in Marvel's vision of these classic characters.
