In the next 3 episodes I’m going to be mirroring the episodes that Brene Brown did with her sisters over the summer in her podcast Unlocking Us while taking another dive into this book, The Gifts of Imperfection. In this book there are 10 guideposts for Wholehearted living which are basically 10 acts to let go of and what to try to cultivate in their place. All really how to live a remarkable, vulnerable and wholehearted life. I took this quiz and am now sitting down to discuss where I fall in each of them.
Part 1 we go over the first 3 guideposts: Letting go of what people think and cultivating authenticity, letting go of perfectionism and cultivating self-compassion, and letting go of numbing and powerlessness and cultivating a resilient spirit.

In this episode I talk about nearing the end of 2021 and taking a step back to look at what the last couple years has looked like for us. How, in my opinion, we can better set ourselves up for success leading out ‘ish’ of this pandemic and comparative suffering through this pandemic.
Today I am joined by my friend, Adam Carlson. Adam is the Director of Quality Management for a nonprofit clinic. We sit down to talk about how queer identity has evolved over time, the impact that trauma has on attachment styles and which styles both Adam and I are. Welcome in.
In this episode I am sitting down again with my brother, Denton Rone, and picking apart his brain on the negative side affects of alcohol specifically on your mind and body, his tips on cutting down for those that still drink, and manageable things you can do to increase your overall health. If you didn’t listen to our last episode, Denton is a staff sergeant in the US Army, his job is a M1 Tank commander. He is also a qualified Airborne Ranger and a company master fitness trainer so we’re taking all of the master fitness training part of your brain and spewing into this episode. Welcome In.
In this quick episode I touch on forgiveness and how this intertwines in our relationships with others as well as ourselves. A foundation of healing is through forgiveness so buckle up, grab a notebook and welcome in!
