D3 and the world mourns the loss of North Central coaching legend Al Carius, who passed away earlier today at the age of 83 after a long, brave battle with cancer.
In his 50+ years at North Central, Carius became one of the most successful coaches in the NCAA across all sports and divisions:

🏆 42 Podium Finishes
🏅 127 XC All-Americans
🥇 8 Individual National Champions
His impact far transcended numbers, though.
