January 15, 2024 The MLK holiday means different things to different people. Dr. King was the most prominent, most important voice in the fight for racial equality in America, but to working folks, he was also much more. Time and time again he showed up in support of working families, often joining strikes and labor movements, treating them as different parts of the same struggle for real freedom in America. Our guest on this special day is former US Senator Doug Jones, the man who prosecuted the terrorists responsible for the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama in 1963.
