In 1995, Ken Wilber published Sex, Ecology, and Spirituality—an enormous text that attempted to combine the latest in Western science and psychology with ancient Eastern wisdom traditions. Aliceanne recently found herself reading an email from Ken's organization Integral Life that revisited the 20 tenants he laid out in that book. https://integrallife.com/experience/holons
As she read, she was reminded of the way she wasn't 100% convinced of the integrity of this framework, and so began engaging in a contemplative practice of feeling / thinking through exactly what didn't sit right (and what did).
In many ways, Ken's framework is absolutely brilliant. He synthesizes ideas that are genuinely helpful in navigating everyday life, as well as wrestling with some of science and spirituality's biggest questions.
Join us as we think/feel through the 20 tenants together. What about this framework do you agree or disagree with? And what might that reveal about yourself?
