As new creations living in a old world we are learning to be all that we really are. Ever since Jesus transferred us out of darkness into light we are re-learning what it means to be the image and likeness of God. Slowly, as we set our minds on what is good, right, and excellent, we find ourselves being radically transformed. Radically hope-filled.

Every follower of Jesus lives in and endures a tension. We serve a glorious king, Jesus. But we live in a fallen world. So we feel the tug of the world toward cynicism, vengeance or even withdrawal. But we also feel the tug of the kingdom, a yearning for the presence of God. This Sunday, we continue our current series, Putting On Christ, as we wrap our hearts around what it means to grow into the kind of people who are not shaken, people who are firmly planted in God.

Jesus said that those who believe in him would have rivers of living water flowing out of them. We want this...badly. We don't want more of the same. We want Jesus. All of him. We want his word. His life. His presence. We want to know what it is to be so full of Jesus' life that our hearts burst with living water!
