Maura Murray 21, in 2004 was a junior, studying nursing at University of Massachusetts. She was a well liked, athletic student. On the surface Maura seemed to have it all figured out, however a deeper analysis would reveal multiple areas of concern. Just prior to her departure, Maura seemingly invented a situation with her sister, she later told professors that there was a death in the family, there had been no death. Investigators found her dorm room fully packed up, with a note to her boyfriend, which would cast doubt on their future. Maura got in a one car accident in rural Grafton County, New Hampshire. She apparently had been drinking, she spoke with at least one neighbor who stopped to assist, she pleaded with him no to call the police, they cops arrived and Maura was nowhere to be seen, three months later a local contractor had reported he believed he'd seen Maura, they night she disappeared 4-5 miles away walking in the dark roadway.
