An Exploration of Coming of Age Rituals & Rites of Passage in a Modern Era | Ron Fritz | TEDxBendThe reason the bone moon resonates with me is because in myths, bones represent things that can not be broken, destroyed or deteriorate. Bones are a symbol of mortality. As we talked about in last weeks episode, this is a month of death. But bones keep us going. They are still here thousands of years later, as a reminder of our existence. Our individual existence. So I choose to embrace this months moon energy as a representation of the pieces of us that cannot be destroyed and will be here long after our flesh.
It is also a time of quickening or building the fire within. So this idea of letting the snow melt away my doubts and fears so that my inner passions burn stronger and brighter provides us with that hope that is needed for us to keep going.
February is the last month in the winter season. Before mass farming and industrial development this part of the year was filled with scarce food supply, despair, and isolation as humans struggled to just get through it. Death was not uncommon. This podcast explores the possibility that our psyche may have benefited from those experiences and suggests ways to make room to connect more intimately with death. The card, 8 of cups, is discussed as an ally and guide for the week.
In today’s episode we are taking a little space from the planning and tarot meanings and brining it back into practical action. How can we connect to the energy of the season, the moon and engage with the energy of our own Hierophant.
The Hierophant energy is about living in a way that comes from our souls expression.
How might the Hierophant show up in your life and how are you reacting to that opportunities? Are you shying way from it or dismissing it? How do you see others reacting to the Hierophant year?
Now that the veil is off the question is "What are you going to do about it?". In this episode Tina shares how to go from Temperance into Devil and use the imagery found in this card to help break the chains and ultimately liberate us.
Using the 8 of Pentacles, Justice and the Queen of Pentacles as anchors for the podcast. By using the idea of anchor cards (originally from Lindsey Mack of Tarot for the Wild Soul Podcast) Tina explains why these three cards helped her step into her own Hierophant energy and shift this podcast into something new.
The podcast is evolving into something more. We all have a chance to evolve with it as we explore what it means to become our own Hierophant.
We discuss a little about Tarot and what 2021 is going to have in store for us individually and collectively.
