We are days, if not hours, from having boots on the ground in Iran. Republicans could have stopped this. Before voting on the war powers resolution they all told us that they would vote differently if this were going to be a “boots on the ground situation.”

They failed.

Now the coming days, weeks, and maybe years will give us more stories like that of Sergeant First Class Alwyn Crendall Cashe.

Long before I was on Substack, I made a series of videos on my YouTube channel about Trump’s long obsession with ending birthright citizenship. He’s been talking about it for over 10 years.

Some people are trying to manage this.

Others are blocking those efforts.

And that’s where the real problem begins.

In this episode Big Mike interviews award winning journalist Logan Davis of the Colorado Times Recorder(CTR). CTR had a groundbreaking story about ICE hold rooms in Colorado. The story was then expanded to ICE hold rooms all across the country. Mike asks Logan about this.

I’ve been thinking about something that feels obvious on the surface, but falls apart the moment you look closer: do we actually value public education?

Every state constitution requires a system of public schools. But neither the U.S. Constitution nor any state constitution guarantees a child the right to be educated.

That gap matters.

Because when you look at how we actually spend money, what we prioritize, and what policymakers choose to focus on, the goal doesn’t seem to be learning — it seems to be maintaining a system.

In this video, I walk through how we got here, what changed, and why that missing “right” might be more important than we think.

If we want a functioning democracy, we need an educated population.

And right now, we’re not acting like that matters.

I’m tired of being told one thing while watching the exact opposite happen.

They tell us they support small businesses, but write policies that benefit corporations.They say they care about safety, but fund systems that don’t prevent crime.They claim to stand for freedom, while taking rights away.

At some point, it stops being confusing—and starts being obvious.

We’ve been watching Republicans endorsed by Trump lose all over the country, in special elections and in primaries. The latest being a special election for the Florida State House district that includes Mar-A-Lago.

So I thought, “what the heck? I might as well try to get my opponent endorsed by Trump.”

This video is part humor, part fundraiser, and part strategy. If, by some twist of fate, my video were to make it to Trump’s eyes and he endorses my opponent then I can run ads telling everybody that Trump endorsed him. I don’t think that can hurt me.
