I'm super excited to share Episode 93 with you. Between managing my kids' activities and juggling my own commitments, I found a moment to sit down and really dive into the topic of goals. And let me tell you, it's not just your typical New Year resolution chat. I've got some fresh, insightful perspectives on goals and what they really mean for us.
Topics Covered:
Introduction to Goals: I kicked off the episode discussing the importance of goals, not just at the beginning of the year but all year round.
Rejecting 'New Year, New You'
The True Value of Goals: How goals are essential for providing focus and direction, rather than just being endpoints.
Becoming Through Goals: A key theme was how the journey to achieving a goal is often more valuable than the goal itself.
Marathon Running Example: I used the example of training for a marathon to illustrate personal growth and change that occur when pursuing a challenging goal.
My approach to weight loss and financial goals.
Contrast in Approaches: I contrasted positive, love-led goal pursuit with negative, self-deprecating approaches and their respective outcomes.
The Importance of Intention: The episode highlighted how the intention behind setting a goal significantly influences the journey and the outcome.

Oh boy, do I have some news for you! In the midst of my usual mom duties – dropping one kid at yoga, another at dance class, and managing the third – I realized I had to pause and share this monumental update with you all. It's a huge leap, one that has me equally terrified and exhilarated.
I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I am opening my own fitness studio! This is by far one of the biggest and most exciting announcements of my career. The studio, located in a picturesque downtown area with water views, is going to be a sanctuary for fitness and wellness. It's not just a fitness studio; it's a dream coming to life, a space that embodies my vision and passion for helping others through physical and mental well-being.
Topics Covered:
Major Announcement: I'm opening my own fitness studio! It's a huge step in my career, and I'm both nervous and thrilled.
My vision is to create a warm, cozy, and uplifting environment where everyone feels elevated and at peace.
Diverse Fitness Options: We’ll offer a variety of classes including Pilates, barre, barless barre, sculpt, and yoga.
The studio's ethos is all about welcoming and celebrating all body types, shapes, sizes, and colors.
I reflect on my journey from teaching fitness seven days a week to scaling down post-pandemic, and now, embarking on this new adventure.
This move was inspired by a desire to create a space that aligns with my personal vision and vibe, different from what I've experienced before.
Self Concept Shift: This new venture is reshaping my self-concept – from a life coach and fitness instructor to now a studio owner.
Online Platform and Coaching Business My online platform and coaching business will continue alongside the studio, so no worries there!

In this episode of the Resting Bliss Face Podcast, I was delighted to chat with Jessica Addeo, a seasoned occupational therapist and an adept nervous system coach. As we dove deep into understanding the workings of our nervous system and the importance of being regulated, Jessica broke down complex concepts in simple terms. We touched upon the significance of nervous system regulation, its impact on daily stresses, and how sleep deprivation can negatively impact this equilibrium.
Jessica highlighted the role of our "window of tolerance" and how external pressures can force us out of it, causing reactions that might make us feel like we're failing as parents. But she assures us that it's all about our nervous system's capacity at that moment, not our abilities as caregivers. Additionally, we touched on the challenges and joys of motherhood, the essence of resilience, and the potential benefits of CBD in aiding sleep regulation.
Topics Covered:
Introduction to Jessica Addeo and her expertise as a nervous system coach.
The concept of being regulated and what it entails.
Role of the nervous system and its importance in everyday life.
Introduction to the vagus nerve and its connection to various bodily functions.
Understanding the window of tolerance and how it impacts our reactions.
The challenges of maintaining regulation during stressful moments, especially as mothers.
Recognizing the significance of resilience in the face of challenges.
Emphasizing the importance of regulating our reactions as parents and its impact on children.
The role of sleep in regulating our nervous system and coping with daily stresses.
A discussion on CBD and its potential benefits for sleep regulation.
