Welcome back to  Part 2 of Restless's review of the Season Finale of The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill. In part 1 we cover what CT had to say about the Aftermath of Mars Hill. Now in part two we deconstruct the lessons CT wants us to learn.

Thesis of Finale:

Life after Mars Hill is hard for many even until today. There is no easy way to determine if the good or bad outweighed the other. It is the reason to analyze the methods and message of Driscoll and hold onto hope that God has good people even inspire of abusive churches.

This week Restless reviews the Episode The Tempest from The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill. This is the best episode in series and is the one we recommend you listen to if you would like to know what brought Mars Hill to an end, that is assuming you want to listen for 2 and half hours.

Join us while we reflect on the commodification of the church, abuses in the church and some of the characters who brought down the Mark Driscoll Machine. We end providing a few quibbles and lesson we took away.

As mentioned you can find Pastor Michaels non-docent sourced book on forgiveness.

Episode Thesis:

The last two years saw all the problems building up and came to the head as the church began to ran more like business, the abuses ramped up until the damn finally broke and Mars Hill dissolved.

This weeks review of The Rise and Fall of Mars Hills’ episode “Red Sky At Morning”. We discuss the medium and message and the church and why mass market appeal isn’t that appealing long term.

Here is us reacting to the the entirety of the now memory holed TGC multi-site discussion

The Thesis of this episode:

The media empire phase of the church took mars hill from being a mega church to a multi site media empire. These public triumphs covered up and actually may have been predicated on unhealthily and destructive church practices.

Restless does this reaction just for free for you all and probably because many of the conservative YRR types listen to as much or more of the Daily Wire than Matt does.

Here is the clip from the Ben Shapiro Sunday Special.

This is the Seasons Finale of this year's Restless Summer. We hang out with a friend of the show is who now a PCA church planter. There are surprises, personal revelations and a give away all along the way.

As we ask can confessionally reformed people be about church planting?

If you would like more information about the plant you can send an email to us at  [email protected] and we will connect you. Here is a link to financially support the plant (as Pastor Michael requested).

We get back to our series on 2 Peter’s supplements for 2022. You can find the first two episode in this series here and here. This is our second take at this with the first one sadly being lost forever. This is also Pastor Michael's flu game episode.

This week we discuss the call to supplement our faith with virtue, which is habit, gift, and grace rooted in who God seen in moral excellence in the world.

We used a section of William Ames Marrow of Theology to structure our conversation. You can buy a hard copy here. And find it for free online at monergism.

Reverend Kevin DeYoung wrote an article to explain a leadership principle from the recent Wyoming Primary. Well the internet was big mad on behalf of Liz Cheney. Restless did what it does best. We came to be the side kick of Laser Eye KDY. We laugh our way through his critics, with love.

We still ride or die with KDY!

You should join the Patreon so that we can keep up the work as axe men for KDY. And we have more than 25 bonus episodes there now.
