Often we don’t need a miracle from God we need a moment with God. In the wilderness the prophet Elijah learned that what he needed most was rest. When it feels like we are in a wilderness on the inside, God wants us to build a rhythm of rest into our lives.

Where you focus affects what you feel. David, in Psalm 69, turned his attention and focus on the character of God and this transformed his attitude from the inside out. We too, can have this transformation from the inside out.

Hope has arrived! Jesus took our nails on the cross and gave us His resurrection. This is what Martha would learn when Jesus told her "I Am the Resurrection" and then resurrected Lazarus. We have a present hope because of His death and resurrection.

God uses the crisis as a call to help others. Jonah's crisis in the belly of the whale was used to call him to give God's message to the city of Nineveh. Right now, God is calling us to arise and go to the people around us.

God provides where there is no provision. When the Israelites left Egypt to claim the promised land, they had to cross a barren desert. Without food or water. It was in the wilderness they learned that God delivers in the desert. His provision breaks through our problems.

God uses the test to build our trust. The story of Jesus shows up in the story of Abraham. God tested Abraham because He wanted to prove Himself and provide Himself as a substitute for Isaac. God is doing the same for us today.

When we make God bigger, our problems become smaller. Jesus encouraged us to rest in the knowledge that He is in control and to seek Him when life seems to destabilize.

A follower of Jesus is a fisher of men. When Jesus called the first two disciples, Peter and Andrew, He told them that He would make them fishers of men. Leading others to Jesus is how we grow and reach the Next Level.

In prayer, your problems bow before God's presence. When Paul and Silas were in jail, they prayed and praised God in spite of their pain. Prayer changes our emotional response to the situations and problems in our life.

God came to us in Person and He has revealed Himself to us on Paper. Paul taught young Timothy that all Scripture is authored by God and can revolutionize the direction of our life. We just need to engage most days of the week.
