‘Do you have a wellness strategy to support your desired state of wellbeing or are you hoping that ad hoc, sporadic activities and events will be enough, hence, leaving it to chance?
Your wellbeing strategy needs to be planned, and whilst it may require hard work, it shouldn’t be hard. Yes, you know you should exercise more and perhaps it might feel hard, yes, it may feel a little tricky to initially set boundaries, and yes, it may cause a bit of stress, to begin with as you stop checking emails in the evening. However, as you build these habits, you will realise the hard work becomes easier and once established all these things combine to make up your wellness strategy and support your overall wellbeing.
Your daily actions, habits and rituals are always impacting your wellbeing. Therefore, taking time to consider the wellbeing state you're trying to create and how to do this is essential.

In the human behaviour space and in coaching we often refer to a process called integration.
This is where we take what we've learnt and integrate it into our being. We move what we learn from knowledge to practice so it becomes part of who we are.
This is a crucial part of the change process, and one that is valued, given time for and reflected on before moving on to something else.
In schools, however, this valuable step is often overlooked.
In the episode, Amy shares how and why to use integration as a step in the change process.

As an individual, or collectively in your workplace or school, you need to plan, prioritise, and participate long-term if you want transformation to occur.
How you can work with me and my team:

Let me share with you something I call Feel, Be, Do.
This formula is something I created when considering what wellbeing looks like when we try and implement tools, strategies, habits and new ways of feeling and being into our life. When we take wellbeing from knowledge to action.
For many, wellbeing is about doing things. Doing more activities, adding more to the to-do list, adding more to the strategic plan, adding more to the school vision, adding more to the day.
This way of thinking has led to many feeling tired when considering what to do about wellbeing before even beginning.
What's interesting is that wellbeing, when done well, is supposed to make us feel lighter, have more energy, live more aligned with our values, and how we want to feel. Yet too often it can be seen as too hard to achieve, something that's almost impossible, or something only lucky people can have.
However, wellbeing is not something to do or have, it's not an endpoint or an achievement, and it's not a goal or target. It is a way of feeling and being. When we know how we want to feel and who we want to be, doing follows.
