A far-right website, Gateway Pundit, has been pushing a pro-Trump gathering immediately outside the FBI's offices in Washington D.C. to "protest," but many pro-Trump commentators are skeptical that the event is a real protest and instead speculate that it's an elaborate trap.

Former President #DonaldTrump said that the #FBI "raided" his Florida home at #MaraLago and even cracked his safe, with a source familiar with the matter telling NBC News that the search was tied to classified information Trump allegedly took with him from the White House to his Palm Beach resort in January 2021.

We have now entered the bizarro world for good. The US unexpected jobs data was a staggering 528K jobs in July, more than double the 250K expected. This is a significant increase from last month's upwardly revised 398K (up from 372K) and the highest since February's 714K! This is happening while the US is in a technical recession and tech companies are mass-firing thousands of workers.

Now that #Pelosi has arrived in Taiwan, #China will implement the next phase of #dedollarization. Nancy Pelosi landed in #Taiwan amid China tensions over the high-level visit. Did the US call China's #bluff? I don't think so... Expect an event of some kind real soon.

Amazon cuts 100,000 employees in the June quarter, the company said Thursday in its latest earnings report. This is about a 6% cut, which is by far the biggest cut the company has ever made in a single quarter.

We are seeing a phony market surge to mask the release of recessionary data this week. Don't trust any of the hoopla. The economy is collapsing at an alarming pace, with negative GDP and record-low disposable income. We have around 50 days till the next Fed meeting, and we should anticipate some form of diversion or they will have to admit the economy is in trouble.

Get ready for something worse! #Powell was asked about the state of the U.S. economy after the FOMC decided to raise interest rates quickly again. Powell told reporters, "I do not think the U.S. is in a #recession right now." "And the reason is that too many parts of the #economy are doing too well."

Recession Indicator triggered as business activity contracts, most since 2009 excluding the lockdown. In the US service sector in early July S&P Global Services PMI dropped to 47 from 52.7 in June. This reading came in much weaker than the market expectation of 52.6. Economic conditions show signs of weakening while CBs are tightening.
