Robert Eggers has carved a distinctive niche in contemporary storytelling particularly in horror, renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and period accuracy of historical and mythological narratives. With a career spanning three feature films, Eggers has already established himself as one of the most visionary directors of his generation. From the gothic dread of The Witch (2015) to the surreal descent into madness in The Lighthouse (2019) and the Viking brutality of The Northman (2022). We discuss each of his films in preparation for our expectations of Nosferatu.
