Tzefania Pappas is one of the founders of B’ney Yosef North America, and has contributed his talents to the Reunion Roadmap production team since the podcast began. Now we get to hear his story! It’s the story of a brother who has been on a journey toward Zion for his entire life – a journey that received focus and direction when he became aware of his Hebraic identity and connection to Israel. This is a journey that has taken Tzefania from his roots in the American Midwest, to South Africa, and many times to Israel. In this three-part interview, he shares with us the inspiration that set him on this path, and the surprising twists and turns his journey has taken.
Tzefania is the co-founder of Beyond the Mountain, which can be seen at the following links:

What are we trying to build in our lives? What is the purpose? What building materials are we using? And, most important of all, are we really building for the Kingdom of YHWH, or for ourselves?
Think about these questions as you hear what Barry Phillips and David Jones share from the scripture.

What is the difference between faith and fear? How do we avoid fear? How do we act in faith - especially when the things confronting us are beyond our means to control? David Jones and Barry Phillips have some useful and encouraging thoughts on these questions.

What would it take to motivate you to move a thousand miles away from your family and friends? Maybe a promising new job? What about a new relationship, perhaps with someone you expect to marry? How about just getting away from an unpleasant or even dangerous situation? All of those might be good reasons to relocate to a strange new place, but would you do that to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit? That’s what David and Faith Jones did when they moved from Columbus, Ohio, to Brandon, Florida, to be part of a new work their pastor was doing in the Sunshine State.
You might recognize Dr. David Jones as one of the hosts of Reunion Roadmap. He and Barry Phillips have been sharing their thoughts on the scripture in the Midrash segment of the podcast since the beginning. Now we get to know more about David in his role as Pastor of Ruach Ministries International. Our conversation starts with him telling how he and Faith decided early in their marriage to obey the voice of the Lord and move to Florida. It was a journey many years in the making, requiring much preparation before they were finally able to hear the call, and then obey even without knowing what awaited them in their new community.

Did God give the Law just to set up His people for failure? Is the Torah bondage, or freedom? Is honoring the Torah a demonstration of faith, or a gospel of works? These are among the questions David Jones and Barry Phillips address in this conversation.

How do we know if we’re living through not only world-changing events, but long-awaited fulfillment of prophecies? Chances are, we won’t know until we have lived through the transition and look back with spiritual hindsight to discern what exactly happened. However, we can have some idea of what we’re experiencing, and what God would have us do. When it comes to Israel, Samuel Wearp is a good person to consult. He has recently returned from the Blessed Land, where he saw firsthand what has happened since the demonically-inspired assault on Israel on October 7, 2023. In this conversation, he shares his thoughts on the nature of this conflict, and how God’s people should walk through it.
Samuel and his family are intimately connected to Israel through their business, Blessed Buy Israel, and through Ten From the Nations. To learn more about how you can connect to Israel, check out both websites:

Many people feel called to Israel, but few can move there if they don’t qualify under Israel’s Law of Return. However, miracles do happen, as Clint Lalum explains. He moved to Jerusalem in 2023, where he serves on the staff of Christian Friends of Israel. Clint shares the series of miracles that brought him to Israel, how he came to understand God’s call for him to be planted there, and what it takes for a Christian ministry to make a difference for good in the Jewish State.

Are we living in unprecedented times? It may seem that way. Perhaps the difficult economic, political, social, and spiritual circumstances are unprecedented in some ways. Maybe it’s safe to say that most of us are revising our definition of “hard times” as we endure inflation, social unrest, shortages, and more at levels we haven’t seen in our lifetimes. So how are the people of God to live in these trying times?
That’s a question Barry Miller has considered for half of his life. In 2015, he shared his thoughts in his book, Know the Time, Change Your World: The Reappearance of the Seven- and Fifty-Year Cycles. As a student of the Bible and a successful entrepreneur, Barry began to see recurring patterns of economic downturn and recovery that seem to correlate with the seven year Shemitah (Sabbatical) and the fifty year Yovel (Jubilee) cycles explained in Leviticus 25 and elsewhere in the Torah. In 2022, Barry published some additional thoughts in a blog post entitled, “The Missing Manna Moment.” What exactly does that mean, and how does it help us cope with the cost of gasoline and food? You may be surprised at what Barry has to say about that!

What actually happens when we pray? Perhaps more importantly, what happens when Messiah intercedes for us? As David Jones and Barry Phillips discuss, the symbolism of the Altar of Incense in the Temple helps us understand the way prayer works.

How is it that a person could be in church all his life, serving the Lord with great enthusiasm and not have read the Bible? Bryan Sanchez can tell us because that’s his story! It was only after years of hearing a family member talk about Israel that he began to pay attention, and by investigating the scriptures for the first time learned of the place Israel and the Jewish people hold in God’s esteem. That is what brought him to his position as the representative of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas – but that is only the beginning of Bryan’s story! When his friend Solomon Lopez helped him understand his identity as part of the commonwealth of Israel, Bryan eagerly embraced this new understanding as it helped him answer a longstanding question about the relationship of Christians and Jews.
