  • Josh Tolley: Becoming an Evangelpreneur, part 2

What is more important: getting into a job you like, or setting a goal and finding ways to get there? Think about that question as we listen to Josh Tolley in this second installment of our three-part interview with him. As you might expect from a man whose books have titles like Quit Your Job Or Die and EvangelPreneur, Josh has some radical ideas on the subject of money – both making it, and what to do with it!

This is a show about revelation – as in what our God reveals to His people as we seek Him. Barry Phillips and David Jones explore that topic in a midrash they call, “Burning Bush Moement.” We round out the show with music from two of our regular artists: Mason Clover and Barry’s own Aleph Tav Band.

  • Josh Tolley: Becoming an Evangelpreneur, part 1

What would you think if someone told you the way we handle money, work our jobs, and relate to our employers is very different from God’s intended order as explained in the Bible? Well, that’s exactly what you’re going to hear in the next three shows!  Our guest is Josh Tolley, speaker, advisor, and author of several books, including Quit Your Job Or Die, and EvangelPreneur. Josh shares some of his experience as both a business owner and a student of the Bible, with emphasis on how our current economic system does not match up with what our Creator intended. This is a paradigm-shifting interview that opens the door to an exciting – and sometimes scary – adventure into alignment with our Father’s intended best for His people.

It is fitting that we have a word on the subject of Blessing in this show! That’s what Barry Phillips and David Jones bring in their midrash, and with them we have music from Lenny & Varda and Jimmie Black.

  • Bob O'Dell: Five Years with Orthodox Jews, part 3

What is the connection between restoration and reconciliation? We have some commentary on that question in this show, starting with the third part of our visit with Bob O’Dell. His ideas are woven into fabric of his new book, Five Years With Orthodox Jews: How Connecting With God’s People Unlocks Understanding of God’s Word. New understanding of God’s word is only part of Bob’s journey. Along the way he has had some practical experience in reconciliation with our Jewish brethren .

Barry Phillips and David Jones continue the investigation with a midrash they have called, “Reconciliation or Restoration,” and we have more illustrations of these two concepts with the music of House of Aaron and Mason Clover. Come with an open mind and heart to hear what our Father is saying on the subject!

Bob O’Dell’s book, Five Years With Orthodox Jews: How Connecting With God’s People Unlocks Understanding of God’s Word, is available in paperback and Kindle at Amazon.

  • Bob O'Dell: Five Years with Orthodox Jews, part 2

Did you ever think about “The Great Divide” between Christians and Jews? That, of course, is the question about who is the Messiah. Bob O’Dell has thought about it. He even wrote an entire chapter on the subject in his new book, Five Years With Orthodox Jews: How Connecting With God’s People Unlocks Understanding of God’s Word. He shares his thoughts on that and several other questions in this second part of our three-part interview with him.

Along with Bob, we have music from Will Spires and Jimmie Black, and a thought provoking discussion from Barry Phillips and David Jones bring on the subject “Plans with Yah.”

Bob O’Dell’s book, Five Years With Orthodox Jews: How Connecting With God’s People Unlocks Understanding of God’s Word, is available in paperback and Kindle at Amazon.

  • Bob O'Dell: Five Years with Orthodox Jews, part 1

What is it that keeps Christians and Jews from getting to know one another on a meaningful level? There are obvious differences, but there are also many points of connection, as Bob O’Dell has learned over the years. Bob joins us to talk about his new book, Five Years With Orthodox Jews: How Connecting With God’s People Unlocks Understanding of God’s Word. Over the next three shows, Bob relates how this book came to be through his partnership with Gidon Ariel at Root Source. Those who understand the Hebrew Roots of our faith and the central role of the Jewish people in God’s plans will appreciate this conversation. Those who are not yet familiar with these topics may be surprised at how much we have in common and can learn from one another!

Bob’s interview is a fitting introduction to the midrash Barry Phillips and David Jones bring on the subject of “Hating Your Brother.” We enjoy as well the music of House of Aaron and the Aleph Tav Band.

  • MelanEE Lisa Davidson: LOVED I AM, part 3

We probably won’t arrive at the place where God has finished working on us while we’re still in this life. His finished work is something we can anticipate when all is restored in the Kingdom. The real question, though, is whether we’ll finish this race better than we started!

MelanEE Lisa Davidson would tell you she’s not even close to where her Heavenly Papa wants her, but she has made tremendous progress thanks to His love and grace – and a large measure of patience. The fact that she can tell her story and use her life’s experience to help others indicates just how much progress she has made. That’s what we hear about in this conclusion of our visit with her, along with the music of Mason Clover and Kelly Ferrari Mills.

Mark Webb is back in this show to continue his midrash discussion with Barry Phillips about signs in the stars. You can hear and see both parts of their discussion, “The Heavens Declare,” on Barry’s YouTube channel, Remnant of Yisrael:

    • Signs in the Heavens, part 1
    • Signs in the Heavens, part 2

  • MelanEE Lisa Davidson: LOVED I AM, part 2

Every testimony of redemption is improbable to some extent. Think about it: a person is heading down a certain path with no desire or ability to change – and sometimes even without knowledge that there is an alternative to the life they are leading – and then the Creator intervenes! That is the reason Messiah Yeshua had to come to earth to take care of the deadly effects caused by our willful rebellion against the God Who made us.

And then there’s MelanEE Lisa Davidson, whose testimony of redemption reaches to the high end of the improbability scale. Not only did she have no desire to depart from her “radical feminist lesbian dyke” lifestyle, she had told God in no uncertain terms that she wanted nothing to do with Him. Yet He stepped in anyway – and continued to step in even when MelanEE pushed Him away.

We hear more of this in our interview segment, the second of our three-part visit with MelanEE. It’s a story not only of redemption, but of cleaning out the nasty things that had blocked the flow of living water in her redeemed life! Which, by the way, is something Will Spires and Solomon Lopez sing about in their musical offerings, and that Barry Phillips and David Jones discuss in a midrash they call, “Digging Wells.”

  • MelanEE Lisa Davidson: LOVED I AM, part 1

Does God ever give up on anyone? If you ask MelanEE Lisa Davidson, she might shout, “Noooooo! I know that because Papa NEVER gave up on me!”

When you hear MelanEE’s story, you’ll understand why she can be so certain. This is a woman who rejected her Creator as a teenager, and then turned toward a lifestyle of radical lesbianism. Yet, as she explains in this three-part interview, God pursued her relentlessly. Not only did He redeem her, He carried her through years of struggle to overcome all the damage of her rebellious years. This is a story that will challenge you, but will leave you encouraged and in awe of what our blessed Heavenly Father will do to bring His children back.

MelanEE’s testimony is a fitting introduction to the subject of our musical selections by Barry Phillips and the Aleph Tav Band, and by Mason Clover. Barry also joins Elder Mark Webb in a discussion about the signs of the times called, “The Heavens Declare.”

  • Bryan Barnes: Growing in Torah, part 3

Our Creator is building His Kingdom in more ways than we may realize. Bryan Barnes helps us understand some of those ways in this concluding part of our interview with him. His family’s initiative with Growing in Torah is only the tip of the iceberg, so to speak! Bryan shares with us a bit more about that, and about Messiah West Coast, the youth camp that has been part of their community outreach almost from the beginning. As Bryan explains, their desire is not just to make a difference in their home state of California, but wherever the Lord directs them!

In a very real sense, it is love that has motivated the Barnes family to do what they do. That love starts with our Redeemer, Who first loved us. This is what we hear in this show from the music of Bill Green and Will Spires, and in the midrash from our Elders called, “Love One Another.”

  • Bryan Barnes: Growing in Torah, part 2

In this show we return to Central California to continue our conversation with Bryan Barnes of Growing in Torah. Having come to understand the value of the Torah to Yeshua’s followers, the Barnes family moved together into keeping Shabbat and the Feasts, but that was only the beginning. Bryan explains how their joy in keeping the Feasts gave them reason and resources to open their celebrations into what is now an international ministry! How do they do it? By maintaining the joy, and finding rest in the Creator.

Rest and joy are themes of this show, as we hear in the music of Kelly Ferrari Mills and Jimmie Black, and in the midrash from Barry Phillips and David Jones. In fact, “Rest” is the simple title of their discussion.
