  • Seena Koohestani: Psychology and Faith, part 2

We continue our visit with Seena Koohestani, a psychology major at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. In our last show, he told us about his wrestling with anger at God in his first year away from home. What contributed to that wrestling, how was it resolved, and what would he share with young people and parents about his experience that would help them in their own walks of faith? This, as well as its impact on his choice of career, is the subject of today’s interview segment. Barry and David then talk about the dynamics of being a Disciple of Yeshua, a topic that intersects with Seena’s testimony. The musical talents of Eved Adonai and Greg Brown put the crowning touch on what we hope will be a blessing to you from our show!

  • Seena Koohestani: Psychology and Faith, part 1

Our guest in this show is Seena Koohestani, a senior at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He is on track to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which is the first big step in what he understands to be his calling as a disciple of Messiah Yeshua. How did he come into this field of study, and what are the trials and opportunities for a Torah-honoring follower of Yeshua in psychology? Seena talks about that in this two-part interview!

Along with Seena, we have a discussion of Perspective from our Elders, as well as music from Solomon Lopez and Bill Green. We hope you enjoy the show as much as we did putting it together!

  • Douglas Hamp: Commonwealth Theology, part 3

In this show, we complete our visit with Pastor Doug Hamp of The Way Congregation in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. What has changed in his life since coming to the understanding that the Torah (commandments, teachings, instructions) of God are still applicable today? As he has embraced this understanding and begun to share it as a Christian pastor, what challenges have come forth – and what blessings? Doug gives us much to ponder in his encouraging story!

Solomon Lopez and Miriam Houtz are the artists featured in this edition of Reunion Roadmap. In the midst of their musical offerings, Barry Philips and David Jones complete their midrash on the question of “Where is our true home?”

  • Douglas Hamp: Commonwealth Theology, part 2

Are you ready for a theological discussion? That’s just one piece of this visit with Pastor Doug Hamp of The Way Congregation in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. We would expect a man who taught Dispensational Theology to talk about it in the context of a Hebraic understanding of Scripture! That’s a key element in Doug’s testimony, which we share in this second part of our three-part interview with him. We also have music from Gregory Brown and Will Spires, and the first of a two-part midrash from Barry Phillips and David Jones that asks, “Where is our true home?”

  • Douglas Hamp: Commonwealth Theology, part 1

We have a new guest this month: Pastor Doug Hamp of  The Way Congregation in Denver, Colorado. He shares his testimony of learning about our Hebraic identity in Messiah Yeshua, and how that impacts our approach to the Scriptures. As with many of our previous guests, that includes an understanding of Shabbat, the Feasts of the Lord, the dietary laws, and our relationship with the Jewish people. Doug’s story, however, has more of a theological aspect for the simple reason that he has studied and taught Dispensational Theology for many years. In our three new shows this month, Doug outlines how his paradigm shifted as he encountered parts of Scripture that were difficult to explain from a Dispensationalist perspective. He also tells us of the One in Messiah Convocation that his congregation hosted July 18-20 in Denver and the Commonwealth Theology model he and his colleague Doug Krieger have developed. This show also features music by Melody Joy and Will Spires, and a discussion with Barry Phillips and David Jones inspired by the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost).

Our visit with Barb and Bob Klika concludes in this show as they relate what has happened in the last several years since they and their friends started Set Apart Ministries. There have been growing pains over the last 19 years, but the congregation is still together, well established as a strong community of faith. How did it happen, and what lessons can we learn from their experience? That’s what we explore in this final interview segment.

Our show continues with more music be Debra Pagel and by the Aleph Tav Band. We also have a midrash from Barry Phillips and Frank Houtz that investigates the question of how to approach the Holy God.
