In the western states of the U.S., the once sugar-hauling steam kettles from Cuba will have new homes to show the world what a Steam locomotive can do. This is the final episode of the Cuba American Steam locomotive saga. We will visit Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Oregon to hear the sounds of steam from Cuba. They will claim new homes, and this spring RS event will be another good sign of things to come.

Part Two of the Cuba American Steam Standard Gauge saga takes us to Wisconsin, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, and Tennessee. We will imagine hearing steam on four railroads that will welcome steam sugar kettles from Cuba onto their tracks. It is all during a fall spectacle of leaves in their brightest of colors. Listen, imagine, and enjoy.

Part one of three episodes depicts standard gauge Cuban Sugar Kettles back in the country of their birth and serving the Great Lakes region states of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. It is a beautiful snowy winter when we will witness this action, so listen and enjoy.

America is a land for everything, including bio-fuel-burning steam locomotives. Its influence has been felt by generations of Americans even after revenue service steam operations ended in 1960. In this RS Episode, we imagine we take a cross-country trip from the East Coast to the West to witness RS Events during one late summer. It will contain steam locomotive action you would like to hear and imagine what it is like to hear short-line steam in America.

(Originally published September 9 2023) Generations of rail fans have felt the influence of Thomas the Tank Engine since 1984. Thomas is a steam engine that has taught us many things. Every steam locomotive in preservation today is still valuable for preserving our past. Imagine that their usefulness can be expanded into a limited revenue service.

This episode makes us imagine one future springtime when a Black Hill Central tank engine will play a role in one RS Event. It's Jamboree in Arkansas as we visit the Arkansas Southern Railroad with old and new natives to this scenic state in the western part of the Southern U.S. Most of it is yard action, but we will feature a good piece of line action near the end. Having a trio of steam locomotives in one state on this October visit is a reason to celebrate the return of revenue steam in Arkansas.

California has beautiful coastlines, rugged mountains, deserts in the southwest, and lots of railroading action. Come with me and imagine three Revival State events that the RS team chartered in late August in the future. We will hear an old veteran return to her original home on the Santa Maria Valley Railroad. Then, we travel to the foothills of the cascades and enjoy a steam locomotive whose design has never been used in America. And finally, we will witness and hear two different hard-working steam locomotives on a railroad that was impossible to build. This is a genuine California Dreaming episode for the RS movement.
