Revive Church with Pastor Todd Mozingo

White privilege. Black Lives Matter. People of color. Prejudice. Indigenous people. White supremacy. These are the words and phrases of our age. These are all used to create division. Yes. Racism exists but it is sin. Each of us must stop and evaluate our own hearts as to how we feel about racist attitudes and values. Where does God stand on racism? Pastor Todd leads us through the scriptures to understand God's perspective and perhaps transform ours.

"Why do God's people fast?" "What does fasting accomplish?" "How does not eating somehow bring us closer to God?" "Is there a right way and a wrong way to fast?" "What should we be doing while we fast?" Pastor Todd answers these questions and more about why God's people fast.

Pastor Todd asks questions of us, "Can you trust in what the Lord says even when the circumstances say something different? " "Can you trust in what the Lord says even when its not going like you think that it should?" "Can you trust in what the Lord says even when the people around you say things that are in conflict with it?" He teaches us today how we can follow through on what God has called us to do in our lives without becoming distracted and defeated.

Have you experienced God's favor? Pastor Todd teaches us that favor has a higher value than wealth. Wealth has limits. When it runs out you lose your buying power, lose your influence, lose your position. Favor has no fixed limits. For the Christian, favor is lavished on us by God. Lavished means "to exceed a fixed measure". Favor that is lavished becomes more than your capacity. Favor is never ending. If God's favor is on us there is nothing we cannot do. Are you ready to accept the Lord's favor?

Do you notice people who seem to have favor in life in work, in money, in friendships, in marriage or in parenting? Things just seem to work out well for them in most everything they do. Or perhaps this is you. Does it seem that you experience favor? Does it seem that things work out for you when you don't know why?  Favor is grace. Favor is not earned but just seems to happen. Pastor Todd explains what the real difference is between grace and favor and how God's grace and favor work in our lives.

Pastor Todd's message today brings tremendous hope and clears up confusion about how God predetermines. So many folks believe that their past determines their future. They might say, "if you knew my history you would know that God could never use me." and also "I made my decisions about my future based on my situation today." God says, "I'm not looking at who you are today. I already know who you are going to be tomorrow." Pastor Todd says, "Please, please grab ahold of why God is excited about you. He knows what you don't know. He knows who you are going to be. He's not worried about who you are because He is going to get you where you need to be. "

Pastor Todd asks "Have you ever searched for your keys only to discover that they were right in front of you?" He talks to us today about things that are right in front of us that we may not see. There are mysteries in front of us that have not been revealed yet but when they are we wonder why we didn't see them before.

Have you been wanting more direction from God in your life? Perhaps you have been asking what is God's plan for my life? Is there a greater call on my life that I have not seen? Are you somewhat frustrated that you are not being used? Is there something wrong with me? Pastor Todd addresses these questions today and teaches us about how the Holy Spirit calls and directs His people, and what the process of the call becoming reality looks like.

Today our assistant Pastor Massey Campos will be speaking with us about Speaking Life. This has become an integral part of our culture at Revive church. This really is the way that Jesus and the Holy Spirit operate. As we follow Jesus we will find that it should become normal to speak life to everyone we meet.

Do you want to know how to pray more powerfully? If God already knows what we need, then why do we have to ask Him to meet our needs? Is there a connection between asking and receiving even though God already knows what we need? What is the connection between faith and prayer? Is there a connection between the words of our mouth that reveal our actual faith? Is the strength of our faith revealed in the confidence of our words? Pastor Todd teaches us today how to pray powerfully with words from our hearts. He shows what happens in heaven as our prayers rise up to the altar.
