Revive Church with Pastor Todd Mozingo

One of the greatest threats to the faith of believers is the question, "Why hasn't God answered my prayers?" This can lead to discouragement and frustration and doubt. We may wonder, "what have I done wrong that God is not answering my prayer?" Is there some kind of sin in my life that is causing God to hold back from me? We may begin a blame game on ourselves, on God, on the process and this can lead us away from God. Pastor Todd shares with us today what is really going on. Has God refused to answer? Or is the answer only delayed?

Pastor Todd shares with us today one of the biggest misunderstood concepts in the Bible. It is the difference in behavior modification vs. transformation.

Behavior modification is when we try to stop the patterns of destruction in our lives by changing what we do. Too often this leads to failure and frustration as we repeatedly do the things that we have tried not to. Transformation, however, is when we change the reason for the patterns of destruction in our lives, and the result is, it changes what we do. This leads to change from the inside out and to success walking out a healthy, positive, Spirit filled life.

Today, Pastor Todd teaches us on another misunderstanding of a fundamental of the Christian faith. Why I am not a sinner saved by grace? How do we, as Christians, relate to sin? What does God do with our sin after we are born again? 1 John 1:8 has lead us to an incorrect understanding of our sin. Pastor Todd explains this and it will bring peace to our lives.

Today, Pastor Todd teaches us on another fundamental of the Christian faith. Why was Jesus crucified? What does it mean in Romans 4:25 that Jesus was "raised because of our justification."? "If the point of the crucifixion was so that Jesus could pay the price for our sin? Why, then, did he have to be resurrected? " What is justification? Pastor Todd explains clearly why Jesus had to be resurrected and what that means for us.

Today, we have a special treat. Our associate Pastor, Massey Campos, will be bringing an important teaching from the Word of God for the body of Christ. Biblical Correction. This has been a difficult and very misunderstood topic in the history of the church even up to today. Pastor Massey says, "If we do not do this correctly, it quickly becomes criticism. Correction brings people to redemption. Criticism just points out errors. If we don't change that we lose the nature of the church. We are not here to fault-find or correct. We are out to help each other get to righteousness, get to Christ. "

A tough message brought to us in love. We need planners and organizers but some people need to control. Pastor Todd holds up a mirror for us from the Word of God. When Martha comes to Jesus to get Him to tell her sister, Mary, to help her set up their meal, Jesus essentially says "No". Why does He do that? Perhaps there is a different perspective to what we believe about Martha?
