Hi, I'm Kate. I'm a nurse with over two decades in the field. And for a long time, I thought I had things pretty dialed in in my life.
So this podcast is about when life flipped the script on me. I went from being a nurse and what I thought was a high functioning professional to someone whose entire life revolved around alcohol.
The next thing I knew, I was in a monitoring program for nurses with substance use disorders.
I was checking this app every single day to see if I had, quote, been selected for a random ua. The letters would pop up on my screen. Bright red letters that said, you've been selected.
And one day I was looking at those and it just hit me. What if I'd been selected for more?
What if it was more than about staying sober and checking a box and getting through this program?
What if there was a purpose to all this? Like a bigger purpose? Like, I had been selected to live on purpose, to inspire, to create, to coach and mentor others through what feels like some of the worst days of your life.
And I'm ready to walk through this with you and come out on the other side. But this podcast is not just about sobriety.
It's about personal development.
It's about living on purpose.
Because when we live on purpose, we discover who we really are.
