In our 7:30 half hour, we hear from our good friend Tim Murtaugh -- now back on the campaign trail as a Senior Advisor to President Trump's re-election bid. John and Tim discuss last night's festivities at the DNC of course, with Tim throwing cold water on some of the positive coverage of/spin on the Harris-Walz ticket.
Atop the 8 o'clock hour, we check in with Former Congressman Dave Brat, now a Vice President at Liberty University. John and Dave discuss Kamala Harris' plan to reduce "price gauging [sic]", asserting that the idea of price controls is astoundingly ignorant of history, sound economics, and good thinking in general.
In our 8:30 half hour, we talk to Patrick McCloud, Executive Director of the Virginia Apartment Management Association. As with Dave Brat and Tim Murtaugh, Patrick describes his opposition to Kamala Harris' proposed price controls.
Atop the 9 o'clock hour, we hear once again from the lovely Elizabeth Pipko -- who, with John, addresses the anti-Israel protests and rioting occurring in Chicago this week as the Democrats convene for their national convention.
Finally his AM, and for the latest installment of "Giving Tuesday," we chat with Brenda White Vaughn, General Manager of the Chesterfield County Fair -- which commences later this week. John asks Brenda about the fair's effort to raise scholarship money for the county's graduating high school seniors.
Happy Monday, listening fam! On today's show, we talk about the upcoming Democrat National Convention, the Harris-Walz policy platform, Monkeypox, polling of Virginians regarding education, what rhetoric is appropriate to describe Democrats, and Producer Dan's health (which wasn't exactly strong to quite strong last week). Enjoy!
In our first hour, we preview this week's Democrat National Convention -- and talk more about the Harris-Walz platform.
In our second hour, we talk more about the 2024 Presidential Race -- including Kamala Harris' advocacy of price controls.
In our third hour, we talk about recent headlines regarding an outbreak of Monkeypox, analyze recent polling of Virginians from VCU, and check in on the financial markets.
In our final hour, John addresses complaints about his rhetoric and shares the Democrat National Convention rundown. Additionally, Producer Dan -- back from several days unexpectedly off -- discusses his health scare almost one week ago.
