Happy Monday, folks! First off this AM, we hear from Fox & Friends co-host, host of The Brian Kilmeade Show, and special Politics & Pints guest -- Brian Kilmeade! John and Brian reflect on Joe Biden's State of the Union address and last night's Academy Award telecast.
Finally this week, we welcome author, co-host of the Inglorious Treksperts podcast, and Producer Dan's friend and fellow Jerry Goldsmith aficionado Mark A. Altman! Mark will be the Master of Ceremonies next week for a sneak preview at the legendary Byrd Theater of the new documentary You Can Call Me Bill, about the incomparable William Shatner. (People call him "Captain Kirk," but he'll always be Admiral Kirk to me!!!)
Next up, atop the 9 o'clock hour, is our "Movie Guy" Mike Mayo, of Mike-Mayo.com. Today, John and Mike talk Oscar predictions, in advance of Sunday night's Academy Awards ceremony!
Joining John for a conversation at the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour is Virginia GOP Chairman Rich Anderson. John and Rich talk all things GOP as the Republican National Committee convenes in Houston this week. Rich also weighs in on Governor Youngkin's proposed NOVA arena, as well as Joe Biden's State of the Union speech from last night.
"It's Friday. . . ." Next up this AM is Lythos Studios' Clay Hamner, who calls in to talk to John about what folks can do in and around Richmond this weekend.
Atop the 7 o'clock hour this Friday morning, we check back in with State Senate Minority Leader Ryan McDougle. As the General Assembly session comes to a close, John talks to Senator McDougle about some of the Democrat-proposed legislation that Republicans have done their best to oppose (and hope that Governor Youngkin will veto).
TGIF, radio family! On the subject of family: Very early this AM, in the "Family Hour," we welcome Restoration of America's Hayden Ludwig to the program. John talks to Hayden about his opposition to Virginia's reentry into the Electronic Registration Information Center ("ERIC").
Finally this Thursday, we hear once again from Dawn Diehl and Teresa Roane of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. On the eve of the date when Governor Youngkin has to decide the fate of the UDC's nonprofit/tax-exempt status in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Dawn and Teresa discuss their plea, and plight, on air with John.
Next up this AM, we hear from President Trump's first press secretary -- and host of The Sean Spicer Podcast -- Sean Spicer. John and Sean talk about Joe Biden's forthcoming State of the Union Address tonight (which Sean will analyze in real time), as well as President Trump's victories from Super Tuesday.
Also (!): Sean expresses his opposition to Governor Youngkin's Northern Virginia arena initiative, stating that he knows of nobody in his vicinity who favors the proposal.
Atop the 8 o'clock hour this Thursday morning, we hear from Tim Anderson, who is campaigning to replace Morton Blackwell as Virginia's Committeeman at the Republican National Committee. John and Tim discuss both his campaign race and the Super Tuesday results from earlier this week.
