Atop the 9 o'clock hour this AM, we hear from Bruce LeVell, former President Trump's Diversity Coalition Executive Director. Bruce talks to John about why President Trump is -- and should be -- popular among minority groups that other Republicans have traditionally struggled to gain support from.
For the first time since John and I began working together on Richmond's Morning News, we have no games to pick this week -- but we booked Governor Allen for this Friday anyway! The Governor reviews the Super Bowl with John and Gary before talking about the timely political issue of rank-choice voting.
"It's Friday. . . ." For the second time this week (what a treat!), we talk to Dave Saunders, who calls in today so as to talk about what folks can do in and around Richmond this weekend.
Joining John at the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour is Hanover resident and concerned citizen Steven Moore, who discusses a proposed data center project in Hanover, as well as his reservations about/objections to the expansive initiative.
(You can learn more about the topic here.)
Next up this Friday is State Senator Mark Peake from Lynchburg. Senator Peake joins John for a conversation about the ongoing General Assembly session this winter, lamenting that Democrats in charge seem more interested in catering to criminals than to victims/law-abiding citizens.
As usual on a Friday morning, we check in with ABC Correspondent Jordana Miller, who talks to John about the latest news from Israel/Gaza.
Finally this morning, Congressman Jim Jordan calls in to the show to talk to John -- and, inadvertently, Dan the Producer, following untimely technical difficulties with John's remote signal from Washington, Virginia. Congressman Jordan explains why voters should be eager to vote President Trump back into the White House this year, given what has transpired during the Biden Administration and what's at stake for America going forward.
Returning to the show for his weekly appearance is former Virginia Governor and European Ambassador Jim Gilmore; this morning, John and Governor Gilmore discuss Tucker Carlson's recent interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Calling in to the show at 7:30AM this Thursday is Betsy Natz, who is the CEO of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association. Betsy talks to John about American manufacturers' efforts to combat and thwart China's manufacturing policies and practices.
To start with on this "Friday Eve," John welcomes Delegate Mark Earley Jr. back to the show, for a conversation about the "Good, Bad, & Ugly" from this winter's General Assembly session so far.
