On todays episodes, I am joined with Nicole Girgis, my wife. We discuss the topic, "What have I learned after spending over $16,000 in fitness and nutrition certifications?"

1. Though the nutrition and fitness theories and knowledge can be super complex, the application is super simple. But just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s easy.

2. The more I learn, the more I realize I know nothing.

3. Learning about the body helps me see God and his infinite wisdom and perfection. When you see how intricate the human body is, and yet how all things work together so meticulously, it makes you appreciate God more.

4. Setting goals often can be meaningless. Reaching those goals will never make you satisfied. Ultimately, you have to learn to enjoy the process and find your satisfaction in God.

5. You have one body. Take good care of it, and it will take good care of you. Neglect it, and don’t expect it to treat you well either.

When you feel overwhelmed, overworked, emotionally exhausted, spiritually malnourished, burnt out, or flat out tired; you don't need to find better ways to be productive, you NEED REST.

In this episode I seek to combine the notion of physical rest (ie. from exercise) with finding spiritual rest. I want to discuss an Old Testament practice that we Christians consider obsolete today. I want to remind you of the importance of rest and why you NEED to be resting.

Genesis 38 is a chapter that is very tricky and difficult to read. Often we feel uncomfortable when we read it and may have absolutely no idea how to apply it to our live today. I am going to attempt to break this chapter down and show us how to reconcile the implications of this chapter and what it meant then to what it means now. How does this chapter of immorality, prostitution, and hypocrisy have anything to do with our lives today?

We are going to discuss an important theme that will be recurring on the show called "the turning point" where we see people at their lowest and then see the turning point that brought them to where they are today. Genesis 38 helps us to see that in Judahs life.

I was lost, but God found me. As a teenager broken through addictions to pornography, alcohol, and weed, God used my brokenness to bring me back to Him.
