Research shows that you can be just a little bit more convincing and persuasive when using one magic word. Use it at work, with your spouse or anywhere in life where you want to make things go your way (in a super duper ethical way, of course).
Everyone wants to be their own boss, right? Wrong! I meet people daily who absolutely love and need the confines of a job or an office to be happy. Some people like the structure and following lead and some people must do their own thing. Do you know what you prefer? Unless you know what truly will make you happy, you will always flounder. Today I offer few tips to help you determine whether you are a solopreneur or 9-5er so that you can move forward crafting your life accordingly. Remember, once you have an awareness about something - it is hard to ignore it.
Let's be frank, we co-exist with others and I often found that people around me seem to think others don't "get" them. Here are my thoughts.
Have you ever lost a friend, either by your own volition or theirs? Even when we decide that a certain friend is no longer someone we want to be around, we tend to feel a sense of loss. For whatever reason, we tend to make ourselves feel wrong even though we KNOW that a particular friendship is not serving us any longer. We make it mean something about us and our sense of worth. My two cents: it's part of life, it's normal (everyone goes through this), and it may end up being the best thing that happens to you. We need to end this cycle of self sabotage by making ourselves wrong for things that are bound to happen. It shouldn't define you or make you feel less.
99.9% of people make life decision based on opinion of others. That’s SCARY! Please don’t be one of them, there is a better way
Recently, I heard someone talk about doing anything to improve yourself - to the point of borrowing money if you have to. This colleague of mine was saying that people should absolutely borrow money for coaching if they think they need it me and it made me slightly mad. Today I go into a mini rant and explain what might happen when you borrow money for coaching and I share some other helpful tips.
Follow your passion, follow your passion, follow your passion…….hearing that can be infuriating if you feel completely stuck and are not one of those people who has always known what to do. Years ago, I remember thinking: "I could do anything if I knew what it was." I felt that I somehow didn't get the memo or have missed my train on this purpose thing and frankly, it drive me nuts. But, as life will have it, I was put in situations that would help me get there and they were not exactly desirable….. As I look back at my life, I realize that the way I found IT was by feeling completely and utterly lost. Is that the answer? It definitely has the power to be, so listen to what I have to say.
Here is a simple trick to help you supercharge your spirituality and productivity.
Recent events in Europe and conversation about refugees have inspired me to share my story with you and what living in a refugee camp taught me about joy.
If I only got a dollar every time I heard the words: "well, I am just not perfect"……It makes me cringe every time I hear it because I think we are doing ourselves harm by repeating this as something harmless and a way to "fit in" or say it because everyone else is saying it as well.
