Pick any sphere of life: politics, the environment, education, sports, entertainment, and then look at the news. It’s filled with stories of discouragement, deceit, and debauchery. Our world is so immersed in bad news that we accept it as a way of life. And who do you trust to get the real story? The environment of fake news has created a culture that makes us cynical and skeptical. We question the accuracy of everything.

The same is happening with news about God. We hear polar opposite opinions as to what He’s like. Thankfully, Jesus came with the real news of who the Father is and what He’s like. He dismantled the fake news about God by demonstrating the good news of the Kingdom. He is the light that shines so we can clearly distinguish between the true and false.

In this new teaching series, Fake News, is meant to expose the Fake News that has kept people in the dark and help us embrace the true story that leads to Jesus.

John’s gospel declares that Jesus is, “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." But Jesus is also known as, “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah.”

How can such a contrasting description be made of one person? How can Jesus the Lion be equated with an animal so meek and mild? The answer is vital to your walk with the Father and understanding your identity as a child of God.
