Have you been thinking of creating a team in your business?Ā
I hired a virtual assistant 7 months ago and I will never look back.Ā
I was nervous, apprehensive and hesitant, I'm not gunna lie.Ā
AND
I also knew that if I wanted to grow and create the impact I wanted to create, I needed help.Ā
My number one concern was "how will I be able to trust them?" This is my business, my baby, my lively hood. Many days and nights of blood, sweat and tears have been poured into this business. My own genius and my heart intertwined.
AND
I also knew it was time. Hiring someone was my next step in becoming even more radically visible in business and life.Ā
Hiring your first, second or maybe even third team member creates radical visibility in your business - NO if ands or buts about it!
In fact my VA is reading this right now, because she helps me with the Road to Radical Visibility Show/Podcast. Kind of funny. lol
What I needed to realize was that hiring someone to work with me meant that I needed to know and be clear about myself and the direction I was headed.Ā
Whether you are partnering up with someone who will help you with coaching, technology, running the business, managing financials or helping with social media and administrative duties there are five key things you need to pay attention to before you can find your perfect match.Ā
Although not explicitly listed these are the exact things that Jeanne, Kirsten and I identify in this episode.Ā They are recognized in the successful relationship that Jeanne and Kirsten have built in their business and how they help others find and hire virtual assistants to help with marketing and beyond all over the globe. Ā
Even though I didn't know them when I hired my awesome, remarkable virtual assistant, Jade in the Philippines I have learned so much about how to create even better systems. They turned me on to a more personable and user friendly software called HighLevel and provide training videos and made for you systems that help both Jade and myself love on and deliver more stellar service to our clients.Ā
Here they are:Ā
1. Be okay with not having to do everything. Yes, give up control. Trust in yourself equals trust in others.Ā
2. Know yourself (strengths, quirks, communication style, loves and hates) and be ok communicating them.
3. Create systems that fit your thought processes and individual business needs. A one size fits all approach DOES NOT work.Ā
4. Seek out resources to help guide you.Ā
5. Remember you are building for the long haul so the bumps in communication are opportunities to find tune your skills and way of being as a leader.Ā
