Robby & Rexrode

We continue the Titans talk in the final hour on Thursday.  Cam Ward spoke yesterday on his progress as a player and does it feel like he's at the 'floor' of his development right now?  Does Ward actually believe he's playing well right now?  How badly does he need a good game this week vs the Eagles?  We take your phones.  Who, other than Ward, needs to have a bounce-back game this week?  We wrap up the show with some CFB news after UNC DC Steve Belichick resigned this morning.

The big college football game this weekend is Lane Kiffin's return to Ole Miss as the HC of LSU.  There has been an update to the injury report after LSU listed starting QB Sam Leavitt as doubtful for the contest.  Are we buying it?  Is Kiffin up to some shenanigans?  We get back into the NFL and go over some of the big storylines for week two.  Lions and Bills tonight is a big one, along with some of the other key matchups.  Joe has some words for Michigan in the Rex Rant.

Robby and Joe are talking Titans in the first hour of the show on Thursday.  HC Robert Saleh and QB Cam Ward took to the podium yesterday.  We discuss some of their comments on the team.  Saleh was asked about Ward's demeanor and is he taking enough blame for his play.  Ward had a back and forth with Paul Kuharsky about his performance and if he thinks he's at the floor of his progress.  Saleh also had some comments on Ward's play and said he doesn't think he's regressed.  We take your phones, and wrap up the hour with the Best and Worst in Sports This Week.

Paul Kuharsky from PaulKuharsky.com is in studio for his weekly visit to talk all things Titans.  We get more into the 'lifeless' performance from the Titans in the loss to the Jets.  Is it fair for the coaches and players to tell everyone it's only week one?  What about the postgame comments from Jeffery Simmons?  We head to your phones.  What else are players supposed to say after a game like that?  We get more thoughts on Ward and his development this season.  Some fans are asking if the team should move on to Trubisky already.  We close out with some thoughts on the upcoming matchup vs the Eagles.

We turn our attention to the Titans in the 2nd hour of the show.  How much patience is fair to show for Cam Ward as he starts his second year?  Do we think Ward should be further along than he is?  How have some other promising young QBs been ruined early in their careers?  Paul Kuharsky joins the show and shares his thoughts on what he saw from the team in the loss vs the Jets.  Did it look like Ward regressed from last season?  Joe has the Rex Rant of the day.

We begin Wednesday's show talking some college football as The Athletic released a new report on the roster budgets for college football teams.  What do we make of most of the numbers?  How are we feeling about the budgets for the Vols and Vandy?  Given what UT is paying, what should be fair expectations for the team and HC Josh Heupel?  We take your phones.  Vanderbilt HC Clark Lea announced yesterday that Jared Curtis will be the starting QB.  What does he do for the ceiling of the Dores this year?

The defense for the Titans didn't look great after giving up 152 yards rushing vs the Jets.  ESPN's Rex Ryan had some thoughts on 'Get Up'.  How can Saleh get the DL unit to play better against the run, and generate some pass rush?  We head back to your phones on the Titans.  We get back into some college football and recap the big games from the weekend.  Both Texas and Michigan got big wins, and the SEC is looking good early on.  We wrap up the show with some Titans thoughts and your final phones.
