Robby & Rexrode

We get back into the Titans conversation in the second hour.  Have our feelings changed on the outlook for Cam Ward after the preseason and game one?  Can he turn things around the rest of the season?  Is he reverting back to hold habits in the game?  The throwing windows in the NFL are much smaller than college, can he adjust?  We head to your phones on the Titans and Ward.  Joe has the Rex Rant to close the hour.

Robby and Joe begin Tuesday's show with the more fallout from the Titans loss to the Jets.  HC Robert Saleh had his Monday presser yesterday and was asked about the progress from Cam Ward.  Do we agree with what he had to say?  Is Saleh being too positive at his press conferences?  We take your phones.  The Vols looked good in the win over Georgia Tech and Faizon Brandon looks legit.  Has their outlook change after two games?  The team got some tough injury news.  Vanderbilt survived vs Delaware as Jared Curtis got more playing time at QB.  Do we think it's time to let him be the starter moving forward?

Cory Curtis from News 2 joins the show for his weekly visit to share his reaction to the Titans' opening game loss to the Jets.  We head back your phones.  Is it a 'here we go again' type of situation this year for the team?  The OL issues showed up some in the game and Ward was under pressure a fair bit.  No, we don't want to, or will see Mitch Trubisky this season.  Ward wasn't terrible in the game, he just never really did anything.  We wrap up the show with your final phones.

We continue your phones and reaction to the Titans after losing the first game of the season to the Jets.  Where does the fan base go from here for the rest of the season?  The Jets were just as bad last year, but looked improved to start the season.  What is our and the fans worry level on Cam Ward right now?  Does it look like he's gotten better?  Would Bud Adams be handling this situation any different than Amy?  Will Ward find any level of consistency with his accuracy as the season progresses?  We remember the late Brent Peterson to close the hour.

A loaded show this Monday after the Titans dropped the season opener vs the Jets, 23-10.  Overall it was a pretty lifeless performance and no one really did anything.  The defense gave up a bunch of rushing yards.  Cam Ward and the offense couldn't put any drives together.  What do we think went wrong?  Why did it seem like there was no improvement from last season?  What did we think of Ward's accuracy in this one, and some of his postgame comments?  We take a lot of your calls and texts.  There was a lack of impact from the DL.  Was it an omen for the season that Joey Slye kicked the opening kickoff out of bounds?

ESPN Titans reporter Turron Davenport joins the show for his weekly visit to help break down the matchup vs the Jets on Sunday.  How can they come away with a win?  We react to what TD had to say and take your phones.  How can the Titans fill the loss of Cedric Gray as he remains in concussion protocol?  We have our first edition of Pigskin Pick 'Em this season as we pick some of the big games this weekend.  We close out the week with your final thoughts on the Titans vs Jets.

We discuss the latest on Vandy football after HC Clark Lea announced that Blaze Berlowitz will be the starting QB once again this week vs Delaware, and freshman Jared Curtis will also play.  Do we think that is the right move?  Fans are torn on the situation.  How should they balance the 'floor' vs 'ceiling' for the QBs?  The Vols take on Georgia Tech and the spread has shifted some throughout the week.  We remember the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

We open Friday's show with thoughts on the 49ers getting a big 27-7 win over the Rams in Australia.  Does it mean anything big picture for the season?  What other NFL matchups do we find interesting this weekend?  The Titans host the Jets on Sunday in the season opener.  Which players we haven't talk about yet might make a big impact in the game?  We take your phones.  Just how badly does the fan base need a win in week one?
