Like it or not, disagreements are part of daily life. We all know how difficult it is for two people to agree on just about anything. Disagreements can be exhausting, frustrating, and ultimately lead to destructive conflicts. But, they don't have to!
During today's show, Merrill and Linda discuss some of their own disagreements and how they had to approach the disagreements in order to win the marriage. That's the key! Winning for the sake of the marriage, not the sake of SELF! When you understand what you are arguing for, you often discover that it is not necessarily for the good of the marriage, but only for your own good.

Do you know about Truth At Work? What an amazing coaching opportunity!
Recognizing that you need help is much harder than most people think. In fact, most of us wait way too long before we actually reach out and seek counsel. This is especially true in the business world and even more so among high achieving individuals. High achieving individuals often are very competitive and frequently very good at hiding their weaknesses from their competition. They play their cards tight to the chest and never give an indication of holding a bad hand.
The truth is, at times, we have all held bad hands. Bad situiations, circumstances, things simply not going our way. This is where we actually have to learn to get better at what we are doing. This is what Truth At Work does!
Mark Wages, President of Truth at Work - Cincinnati Region, discusses how the Truth at Work process works to coach people in the business world. The incredible and powerful process is based in the Christian Faith and follows Christian principles as it grows and stretches each individual.
If you are feeling stuck and not sure how to move forward with your next play, consider contacting Truth at Work.

Many people believe in a god or some form of higher power. But, as Christians, we are called for more. We are called by the Greatest Story Every Told. We are called by the life of Jesus! In this show, Linda and Merrill get down to the evidence of why Jesus is the ultimate reason for HOPE! There is nothing mysterious or magical about Jesus. His life was foretold many years before he stepped foot on the planet. The reason why his life would be. The type of life he would life. And, the meaning to all of us for his life.
As stated in John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth, and the life. the only way to the Father is through me.
This is so because of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. When we understand what the implications are for these words, our life is forever changed.

Are you producing the fruit in your life that you desire? How about the fruit that God desires for you? In this episode, Merrill and Linda encourage us to take a good look at the soil we are trying to plant seeds in. i.e. our hearts.
If we are trying to live a fruitful life, but our hearts are not fertile for growth, we will be lacking in our yield.
In the parable of the Sower, Christ encourages us to examine our hearts and to understand what kind of heart we have and what kind of heart it takes to produce a fruitful yield. We are in control of fertilizing and prepping our hearts for a bountiful harvest. When we recognize this, we can more clearly understand how we need to take care of our hearts and nurture a mindset of growth.

Remember Matthew 7:3-4, "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye.
In this show of Rock Solid Radio, Linda and Merrill talk about judging others. This single topic is at the heart of why many non-believers will not come to a relationship with Jesus Christ. The hypocrisy that exist when we improperly judge others is astounding. We must learn to approach others by first taking care of our own sinful ways. Then we can afford to approach a brother and help them with their sin. We must always be able to do this with a pure heart and extending love.
What does this look like in your marriage or family? How about your workplace or neighborhood? These are the places that we can begin to show the love of Jesus Christ.

As a teacher, one of the best ways to get your students to learn a particular lesson is to share a story about the lesson. The story draws in the student and soon they visualize what they need to learn from the story. Jesus did this on a regular basis when he taught through parables.
What are some of your parables in life? What did you learn through your story or experiences? How have you used your story to help someone else?
In this show, Merrill and Linda begin a series of shows that discuss particular stories and what we can learn from these stories.

In today's world it is hard to know what is truth. So many information sources bringing so many things that seem like truth. While information can be a good thing, information that comes from a source other than absolute truth is something to be weary of.
We are all seeking truth as it is hardwired into us by God to know truth and to build our life around it. When we begin to build our lives around lies and even half-truths we move into confusion. Living life in a confused state leads us to frustrations, anxieties, depression, and even hell. This is no joking matter.
Our societal metrics used to measure the overall health of our society are giving strong indications of people that are hurting. Increases in anxiety, depression, suicide, divorce, drug abuse, domestic abuse, and so on, are all indicators that we are lost as society.
It is time to become unlost, or better yet, found! Being found simply means grasping onto the one true source of truth, God's Word!
