In this episode of Rocky Mountain Marketing Quick Cast, Katie takes a break from discussing AI and focuses on the basics of social media marketing. She explains the importance of a content calendar, which is a tool to plan and organize content creation and distribution, and how it helps businesses remain consistent. Katie shares the benefits of using a content calendar, including improved planning and organization, increased efficiency, and better collaboration amongst team members. She also emphasizes the need to determine goals and target audience before creating a content calendar.
Katie recommends using a tool called Loomly, which she prefers for its full calendar view and ability to have multiple contributors. However, she acknowledges that there are other free tools available, like Google Sheets and the Meta Business Suite. Katie also advises businesses to choose a content format and tool that suits their team's needs and preferences. Lastly, Katie explains how often businesses should post on social media and suggests a three-post-a-week strategy, but encourages businesses to be consistent with their posting schedule. She also stresses the importance of assigning roles and responsibilities to ensure collaboration and success in social media marketing.
By having a content calendar in place, businesses can create a strategy, determine what content works best for their ideal clients and customers, and achieve their marketing goals more efficiently.

In today's episode of Rocky Mountain Marketing Quick Cast, we'll be discussing a topic that's of critical importance to businesses today: How AI will impact the way we do business?
As we dive into 2023, there's no doubt that AI technology is continuously revolutionizing the business landscape. From chatbots to predictive analytics and machine learning, AI is already being used in a variety of ways to help businesses become more streamlined, cost-effective and productive. While there are a lot of positive impacts, AI is starting to raise concerns leading to job loss especially for writers.
Just a month ago, I came across Ann Handley's LinkedIn post about ChatGPT and I love the many points she raised about how AI put writing "into the scene" again. She highlighted the importance of how we look at AI as a tool to enhance our work and definitely not to be the creator itself. My take is to approach it with caution and awareness. AI should not be a human replacement for creativity.
We'll discuss how important it is to be ethical while using AI because as the day goes by, more and more AI tools are coming out, and there's no stopping it. It's up to us as to how we will maximize the potential of AI to transform our businesses and stay ahead of the curve.
Join us as we explore this exciting and complex topic. How will AI impact the way we do business? The answer may surprise you
