Gav was joined by Malc and Bomber to go over the lads immediate feelings and rate the performance against Port Vale in the EFL Trophy. You can listen for FREE on Acast, iTunes, Spotify, & YouTube.

What’s the crack?

• So we progress in the cup, but more importantly; what have we and Lee Johnson learned from that performance?

• The Lads rated by the panel; Where does each player stand?

• How did the young lads look out there? Anyone looking like they deserve a run in the League itself?

Stay safe and thanks for listening!

The lads recorded this very late Saturday night, squeezing a bit more analysis into the review section of the pod than usual, as well as the ratings. Bomber was joined on his late night locked-down reflections and musings by Chris and John as they looked back over the near 100 minutes of our draw against Hull in the league. You can listen for FREE on Acast, iTunes, Spotify, & YouTube - get stuck in!

What’s the crack?

• Is the revolution upon us yet? Are the signs promising or is there still a little Parky to shake from the squad?

• The Lads rated by the panel; Where does each player stand?

• A study, again, of why Charlie Wyke needs his very own rating system...

The Lads are back in action tomorrow against promotion rivals (and Honeyman hostage takers) Hull City so our Gav is joined by our Chris Wynn and Malcolm Dugdale to look ahead to the match and beyond; looking at the players we're likely to see, the way both clubs have handled recent events, the return of George "7/10" Honeyman, the issue with our forward line and how we remedy it...

As well as answering some listener questions and discussing the Covid-19 situation with Football's governing bodies.

Ant was joined by Malc and Niall to go over the lads immediate feelings (this was recorded as always just after the final whistle.. Technical issues.. aye) and to try to rate a side "fresh" from a return from a Covid outbreak.. fairly? You can listen for FREE on Acast, iTunes, Spotify, & YouTube - get stuck in!

What’s the crack?

• Did the Lads look particularly fit and refreshed in our first game in weeks?

• The Lads rated by the panel; Where does each player stand?

• Again we ask; Should we still have taken the 3 points? Also.. What is Max doing with those clippers?

The Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen and RR have decided to release as many player interviews as we can over the festive season, especially as there's no football of any significance occurring currently...

Our Rich Speight had the pleasure of going all deep dive into the career and mind of one of his (and our own) all time favourite Sunderland cult heroes, the star of the 1992 FA Cup run - Mr John Byrne! Talking that cup run, the Lads he played alongside, his International career with the Republic of Ireland, his love of Denis Smith and Viv Busby (and boyhood club Man Utd) and so much more! We loved every moment, we hope you do too!
