  • ROKER RAPPORT PODCAST: Reviewing Sunderland’s draw with Donny w/ comedian DAVID CALLAGHAN!

    Joining the Lads in the studio this week for the Roker Rapport Podcast is comedian (and massive Lads fan) David Callaghan - talking Sunderland’s draw with Doncaster, transfers and more! You can listen for FREE on Acast, iTunes, Spotify, & YouTube - get stuck in.

    Expect a serious and quite intense first half (answering your questions from social media and looking at the lack of action in the window) to be swiftly followed by a quite irreverent and jovial look ahead to Tranmere and Pompey, with unexpected chunks of positivity thrown in for good measure.

  • ROKER RAPPORT PUBCAST: Before and After Sunderland v Doncaster quick* reaction (feat Buckfast)

    So Anth wandered up to the Stadium last night to record a quick bit of chatter about the game before and after as usual, meeting up with our Graham prior to the match to toast an easy Sunderland win/possible difficult loss.. and our young Sam after in the bar to lament over a largely dull point gained/lost/gained/lost with a few drinks. Featuring endless Buckfast references, thoughts on the performance, trying to think about something to say and other stuff. Aye.

    *It's late because the lad responsible woke up with his face in a kebab not long ago after a rough night

    Going back to bed.. Enjoy?

  • ROKER RAPPORT PODCAST: Sunderland chinwag w/ The Echo's Rich Mennear & Sky Sports' Keith Downie

    Alex lit the fire and Ant put the flowers in the vase.. just to brighten things up in the studio a touch for the arrival of the Sunderland Echo's Rich Mennear and Sky Sports' alleged Hearts fan Keith Downie, to chat all things SAFC following our weekends victory over the Chairboys in the league.

    Talking about:

    • The Lads absolutely superb performance against former league leaders Wycombe Wanderers;
    • Parkiola; It seems he's finally turning this ship around against all the odds, so have minds been changed completely by the recent form?
    • January Transfers; Of the names coming up, who looks like a good acquisition at this point in time, and how well do they think Lafferty will fit in to the squad?
    • Keith addresses comments on social media, and assures us once again that he isn't a mag;
    • The lads wax lyrical about the nature of the game, the benefits of hindsight and why the North East takes it's football so seriously;
    • Answering questions, thoughts on the atmosphere at the SoL on Saturday, SKP chatter following his appearance at the match, predictions for MK and hoping to everything that is holy/unholy we can keep this going...

    HAWAAAAAAY THE LADS!

    • How Wycombe have risen to the heady heights of the top of the table; Did the Chairboys' fans see this coming at all?

    • Ainsworth; proof that sticking with a manager can actually work?

    • Phil's view on the Sunderland/Ainsworth link before Parkinson's appointment, does he think Gareth wanted the job?

    • An outside view on the situation at Sunderland recently; Are Sunderland viewed as promotion contenders still outside our fanbase?

    • Players to watch; Akinfenwa gets a lot of the attention, but who are the key players for Wycombe Wanderers this season?

  • ROKER RAPPORT PODCAST: Reacting to Sunderland’s win over Lincoln and looking ahead to Wycombe!

    Back in the studio this year the Lads were joined by SAFC FanTV’s Jacob Kirkbride to look at all things SAFC as usual; including the Lincoln win, fan reactions and even the threat of a promotion push! You can listen for FREE on Acast, iTunes, Spotify, & YouTube - get stuck in.

    What are we talking about?

    • Sunderland's win over Lincoln City, and the performances of both the players and the fans helping kill the opposition off early;
    • The tentative use of the P word; Given the utter state of this league and the results being what they are across the board, can we now finally mention Promotion again?
    • Parkinson In/Out; Are we starting to see signs of hope that he can turn things around, is this all dependent on a long run of great results and will we see signs of dissent return if he fails against Ainsworth next week?
    • Gooch, Hume and the January window; The return of Lynden Gooch to the side has proven him to be vital to the remainder of the season, and the performances of Hume on the left wing seem to be just as vital... How important is securing cover these next few weeks?
    • Transfers; Who should we be looking at, do the lads have confidence that we will bring the right players in, or will it be a case of taking whoever we can get?
    • The McGeady situation, the Stewart Donald situation, the role of a fanzine briefly explained, the need to get behind the Lads against Wycombe, some more of your talking points explored, predictions and much more!

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCH!
