RECAP TIME:

The Scallywag's nemesis, Xethir, would return. With the Surgepyres soon to be under his control, he would resurrect his otherworldly god with the power of an interdimensional surge that happens every thousand years… and the clock had run down.

The first step to get ahead of him, was find the first heartstone fragment of his dead god, before his minions. But when with the curator told our heroes that a contract was out to market to do just that, the pressure was on. They would first head to the capital city, Sehira.

So they hired a carriage and grumpy driver and hit the road. The first stop on the way: Talbennery.

But after travelling for days, they came across a roadblock of bandits and a turncoat Apatheos Keeper. But they too were not alone, and a horrific creature of shadows and claw leaped from the forest and began its horrific attack on them all.

Then the second creature arrived and teleported away with an injured Moxie. But she had her own tricks. And misty stepped her way back to her friends and the safety of the lit road. Freya banished the new creature to its home plane; the world between worlds called the burrowings, and finally the last creature fell.

The first step to get ahead of him, was find the first heartstone fragment of his dead god, before his minions. But with the curator telling our heroes that a contract was out to market to do just that, the pressure was on. They would first head to the capital city, Sehira.

With their time in their new home of Delnori coming to an end. They hired a carriage and shot north on the long road to the capital. Their first stop would be the city of Talbennery, a travel hub, where they hoped to find Sentinel and Moxies old friend, Dom, it got himself into a bit of trouble.

But after travelling for four days, they came across a roadblock of bandits and a turncoat Apatheos Keeper. But they too were not alone, and a horrific creature of shadows and claw leaped from the forest and began its horrific attack.

The first step to get ahead of him, was find the first heartstone fragment of his dead god, before his minions. But with the curator telling our heroes that a contract was out to market to do just that, the pressure was on. They would first head to the capital city, Sehira.

With their time in their new home of Delnori coming to an end, they prepared to cover their tracks, fooling an assassin of the Opari who hunted Ahmaya that she had recently died… leading to an extravagant fabricated funeral.

But it worked, and with the assassin caught, Moxie's birthday a roaring success, our heroes hit the road to their first stop on the long road to the capital; Talbennery.

The first step to get ahead of him, was find the first heartstone fragment of his dead god, before his minions. But with the curator telling our heroes that a contract was out to market to do just that, pressure was on. Finally in the chasm city of Delnori, our hero's worked on their philanthropic thievery business, a fine dining sweet restaurant, their shopping skills… and their relationships. But they knew their time was fleeting.

On the last day in the city, they set a trap for an assassin after Ahmaya. A funeral for her, and it worked. The assassin and their secrets were trapped in the back room of Rippers Tavern.

But the road to the capital calls…

Our heroes had returned to Delnori, the chasm city to heal, to celebrate, and soon to say farewell.

The nemesis, Xethir, would soon return. With the Surgepyres under his control, he would resurrect his otherworldly god with the power of an interdimensional surge that happens every thousand years… and the clock had run down.

The first step to get ahead, was find the first piece of terror, before the minions of Xethir. But with the curator giving them vital information about a contract seeking out dangerous people to do just that, pressure was on. In the final days in the new home, Delnori, they took their philanthropic thievery business, a fine dining sweet restaurant, and their relationships, all to the next level. But the curator also told them of another contract… one seeking a bounty… for Ahmaya and her mysterious, sentient sword, Murmur.

The mysterious assassin that followed them, would soon make their move.

Our heroes had returned to Delnori, the chasm city on the west coast and found home, and were preparing for the next phase of their adventure.

Xethir would likely return soon, and with the Surgepyres under his control, he planed to resurrect his otherworldly god with the power of an interdimensional surge that happens every thousand-or-so years… and the clock had run down.

They had discovered two contracts for work, the first from the Empire's Apotheos district, which our heroes identified as the very same mission for the Piece of Terror. Leaving them with a decision: to either take the job and find out who in the Apotheos is working for Xethir, or to find the shard in competition with whoever takes the job.

In the last couple of days before they flee the city, our heroes spent much needed time with those they loved… and those they hoped to love. As well as cook their socks off creating a fine dining menu of deserts for the Chasm Chronicle's harshest critic…

But, there was a spy within the cliffs and sneaking along the rooftops. And Freya awoke to find them looking at her through her window.

Preparing for the next leg of their journey in Delnori, our heroes took stock.

Xethir was defeated, but he would likely return in a different plane of the Entanglement. With the surgepyre towers, he plans to resurrect his otherworldly god, harnessing the power of an interdimensional surge of Evraen due every thousand-or-so years… and the clock has run down.

Our heroe's know the location of one Piece of Terror – a shard of the dead god's heartstone – and so Delnori may not host them for long. But there are other factors at play. Their budding business venture in Delnori, the mystery of Duke Lucard and his connection to both Freya and Eugene, and the secretive Zapes, possible necromantic mentor for Moxie.

And to make matters more complicated, the Curator calls once more from his demi-plane abode. And his news is not good… there are two contracts or work out on the Collectors network. The first from the Empire's Apotheos district, which our heroes identified as the very mission for the Piece of Terror they will soon embark on. Leaving them with a decision: to either take the job and find out who in the Apotheos is working for Xethir, or to find the shard in competition with whoever takes the job.

The second contract was a bounty for Ahmaya…

With the world spinning about them, our heroes work to tie up loose ends in Delnori – and spending some much needed time with friends, family… and more.

The Tyrlaar disciple has recognised them, knows them well, and when he has collected the pieces of Terror, he will harness a coming surge of Evraen – the inter-world tides of magic – and forge the pieces into a new Heartstone for the Unbeing.

Our heroes know the location of one Piece of Terror thanks to Detrius's brief connection with Xethir, and so Delnori may not host them for long before they make haste. But there are other factors at play. Their budding business venture in Delnori, the mystery of Duke Lucard and his connection to both Freya and Eugene, and the secretive Zapes, possible necromantic mentor for Moxie.

But first, they delve back into city and family live, if albeit briefly. Already splashing out with gold from the expedition, buying gifts and new tools. But all is not well in the empire…
