On the heels of their unexpected reunion with the Prior, the crew of the Per Aspera finally returns to the City of Brass to finish their contract with the shrewd fire genasi, Otto. Debts are paid, armor is smithed, and Dani bullies a grown man. While all these vignettes play out, VR-LA begins to unravel the threads of mystery that surround our heroes...

Page 420 in "Gith For Dummies"

Words to Avoid

As those who interact frequently with persons of Gith descent  (or who are just up on their Planar history) will know, the martial Githyanki and their monastic sibling race, the Githzerai, split so long ago that they each speak a different dialect of Gith. However, the split was not so long ago to render these dialects mutually incomprehensible. Nevertheless a non-native speaker (such as yourself) may struggle to understand the nuances of each dialect. As such, here are words in each dialect to avoid using when speaking with members of the opposing dialects, to avoid accidentally insulting your Gith hosts/ guests/ employees/ business partners/ shipmates/ captors.

• kry'ki (GY)- an expression of surprise when encountering a potential combatant, a monster, or a potential hostile animal. The GZ translation is literally "withered life energy" and as such is considered particularly heinous and heretical, if not an outright curse on all who hear it, due to their monastic inclinations and uses of "qi" (ki in Gith). The literal GY translation is akin to the Common phrase "bad vibes", and in fact the Common word "crikey" comes from GY Gith.
• dron'zho bar'by (GZ)- "to flip one's mother over on the grill" in GY, whereas dron'zho just means "to know one's mother" in GZ, and the full phrase is meaningless. In either dialect the conjugation would be:

dron'zhor | dron'zhort
dron'zhos | dron'zhost
dron'zhot | dron'zhog

• Closely related is drun'zho in both dialects (drun being father). This phrase is particularly offensive due to the Gith's previous status as a food source for the Illithids. The GZ equivalent is dron'tro ber'bi, with similar conjungation.
• g'hetl'ah (GY)- literally "without a brain" in GZ,   "Sword-brained" in GY, indicating an excellent fighter
• hoonir (GZ)- "painfully stupid" in GY, "blessed" or "silver one" in GZ

Any and all words or phrases containing "ir'g'hel" (illithid) or "ir'g'hel'thig" (illithids), or any terminology related to mind flayers or cephalopods should not be used in reference to any Gith, if you value your life, limbs, and/or possessions. Such words and phrases include:

• Ir'g'helg'hel (ear gey-LIG el)- squid brain (lit. Illithid mind)
• Ir'yanki (ear yan-KY)- mindflayer tadpole (lit. child of pain)
• Irhanachri (ear-han-AK-ri) - one awaiting ceremorphosis (the procedure by which adult mind flayers are created). The implication is that the subject is eager or excited to be changed.
• Chal'amar'i - calamari, borrowed from Common as a slang word for mind flayer. Considered especially heinous in reference to Gith. Use at your own peril.

Having successfully defeated the bandit bunnies threatening Finbar's hometown, the crew takes a well-earned breather and Yub Nubs it up with the Firbolgs of the Feywild. Emotions and stories are shared, gifts exchanged, and at the end of it all the gang returns to Sigil. What they find waiting for them should be an easy ride back to the city of Brass....but a figure from Kyana's past has other plans...

Fall down the rabbit hole with Kyana and the crew as a simple town-fortification mission goes horribly wrong. Of course, "horribly wrong" is just par for the course with our next plane, the Feywild! Will Dani and VR-LA be able to teach the villagers how to "Home Alone" their way to safety? Will Kyana be damseled? Is Finbar ever gonna take us home to meet his family again? Find out on another nonsense episode of Rolling with Difficulty!

- Austin recorded a few minutes from the wrong mic! Sorry for the dip in audio quality.

Go VR-LA Racer, Go! With Gith hot on their trail (and a hold full of loot) the crew of the Per Aspera is speeding across the Astral Sea running for their very lives. With a new friend in tow and still licking their wounds from the train heist in hell, the gang will have to test the limits of their imagination to find a way to lose their pursuers.

One hope of escape? Acheron, the plane of endless war....no way this could backfire...

Descend into Avernus! Wait no, not like that, we just have a train to rob!

Returning from a successful gig, the crew of the Per Aspera wastes no time picking up another job, stealing soul coins from the Nine Hells! Put on your cowboy hats and get ready for a good ole' fashioned train rustle! With stakes and speeds this high, will our intrepid heroes pull off this daring heist? Or will the fires of Hell prove too hot for the Rolling with Difficulty crew!

Welcome to the Planescape dear viewers, and to the very first episode of Rolling with Difficulty!

On their first (televised) adventure, the crew of the Per Aspera takes on cliches by...starting in a tavern? Ah well, it's much more exciting after that, with questionable collectors recruiting out crew to set sail into the Astral Sea in search of the heart of a dead god. Will our "heroes" prevail and earn their end-of-year bonus? Or will the denizens of the vast and mysterious Planescape make this voyage their last?

Goofs:
- Sophia forgot she had the spell sniper feat and missed a chance to ignore the penalty for partial cover, whoops!
- Austin's dog Travis wanted a taste of the limelight, and would not stop letting his voice be heard while recording...maybe we'll roll him a character next time.
- Sophia called the NPC "Otto" by the character that somewhat inspired him, "Hondo". Don't tell George Lucas.

Meet the crew of the Per Aspera! These plane-hopping morons will do any job, no matter how questionable or dangerous. With the help of the Per Aspera, their trusty Spelljammer, they just might find success, despite how they always seem to be Rolling with Difficulty.
